Passive third-generations technology of nuclear power plant is the advanced pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant technology introduced by the state.It has been identified as one of the mainstream technology for China’s new nuclear power plant.Compared with second-generation nuclear power plant,the equipment is greatly reduced in passive plant.The battery has become the only safe-related emergency power supply for the plant.The battery reliability has played a vital role for the safety of plant.At present,there is no research paper on the design selection and performance improvement for passive plant.This paper provides the solutions to the two problems above.The paper is divided into design selection and improvement scheme.Firstly,design selection is divided into DC load selection and battery capacity selection.In view of the DC load selection,this article focuses on DC electric valve selection and analysis because it is used in the nuclear power plant for the first time.This article has formed a more accurate and effective equipment selection method for DC electric valve.For the battery capacity selection,through the analysis of the voltage control method and current conversion method,the current conversion method is the ideal way to calculate the battery capacity in the nuclear power plant taking into account the advantage of no need to check the voltage.Secondly,the improvement scheme is divided into battery modeling analysis and parameter improvement.This paper take the electrochemical equivalent circuit model for battery discharge simulation because of the advantage of high simulation precision and the clear physical meaning of each parameter.The parameter of circuit is obtained by the usage of battery manufacturer data and the least squares method.Three representative battery discharge test data are selected to compare with the model simulation data to verify the reliability of the model.In view of parameter improvement,this paper finds that the decisive factor is the ohmic resistance of the battery which affects the battery capacity and voltage through the simulation of battery discharge.The battery ohm resistance can be improved by the improvement of the grid alloy and structure in order to improve the battery performance.
