With the continuous innovation of science and technology,general aviation is showing a trend of vigorous development.Light aircraft,as the main aircraft,is becoming more and more perfect in function,and the display system tends to be complex and diversified.Users have higher requirements for information presentation and interaction quality in the interface.The information in the interface should match the needs and cognitive patterns of the pilot to ensure efficient and safe flight.Therefore,this paper will bring the interface information into the actual mission,and conduct an in-depth study by combining with the pilot’s mode of thinking and physiological characteristics.Firstly,referring to the C-172 cockpit interface,it systematically summarizes the information.At the same time,based on the mission characteristics of the airfield traffic pattern and the characteristics of the flight status of each stage,it sorts out the information and operation needed to be monitored in takeoff,level flight and descent.Secondly,combined with aircraft airworthiness regulations and the relevant theories of information design,this paper summarizes the design principles of cockpit interface information of light aircraft from the perspectives of visibility,cognition and experience.Among them,the content,element and layout of information are the key factors that determine the quality of interface information and the efficiency of information transmission,for the above three factors,it selects an appropriate research method.Through the rating scale method to quantify the interface information needs of pilots and to classify the priority of information display in different stages of the flight mission;it uses the analytic hierarchy process to establish an evaluation system for the identification of information elements and to screen out the expressions of elements that are easy to recognize;it uses eye tracking technology to analyze the attention distribution and gaze transfer of pilots in different flight stages and to understand the relationship between each part of the information,so as obtain a scientific and reasonable information layout.Base on the above research results,in terms of design science,it optimizes the information in the interface on the basis of the existing interface to reduce the cognitive load of pilots and to improve the efficiency of information acquisition and the quality of mission execution.Eye tracking experiment is used to compare the interface before and after the improvement and to verify the validity and reference of the design by behavioral data and eye movement index.
