Assembling the satellite communication equipment on the helicopter can greatly improve the helicopter’s communication capabilities in special application scenarios such as sea,desert and forest.However,the special structure of of helicopters,including the shielding of helicopter rotors,makes it difficult for ordinary satellite communication equipment to be directly applied.This paper focuses on the design and implementation of a burst modem that can be applied to airborne satellite communications for helicopter,and studies the important technology that applies in this paper.The main content of the paper is as follows:1.The burst communication system,error control coding and synchronization acquisition technology involved in the airborne modem are demonstrated and studied in detail.2.A system scheme that can work under the condition of low signal-to-noise ratio and large system frequency deviation is designed.The rationality of the scheme is evaluated,its performance is evaluated,and the corresponding simulation results are given.3.The FPGA software design of the synchronization acquisition algorithm,modulation and demodulation algorithm,error control coding and decoding algorithm involved in the scheme is completed.The designed burst modem was tested on the actual satellite channel.Test results show that the designed FPGA software works reliably and can support the stable transmission of high-definition video.
