Since the late 20 th century,the cultural and creative industries have sprouted in some developed countries,followed by a few years later in the world has set off a upsurge.After a wave of global financial crisis swept in 2008,the cultural and creative industry emerged as a pioneer and an important breakthrough out of the crisis.Local governments also regard the development and research of cultural and creative industries as an important means of pursuing and self-improvement in the international arena.Cultural and creative industries include social,cultural,historical and other contents and levels.After years of research and development and practical application,cultural and creative industries are not limited to a single industry,it is also an important competitive means to promote the connotation of itself and the soft power of culture and the development of economy and society.Cultural and creative products are those that combine the design symbols,aesthetic values and humanistic cultural elements of original ecological works with the artistic nature through the designer’s own understanding and research to be refined and combined with the products with proper requirements,form a cultural and creative product of redesign.The purpose of this thesis is to make the public know more about the dream of the Red Chamber and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture through the design of literary products."A dream of Red Mansions" can be said to be a classic masterpiece,which is listed as the first of the four classic works in China.Through reading "A dream of Red Mansions" and related books and collecting online materials,it classifies and selects the aesthetic and cultural elements in the book,to Carry Out on-the-spot and network research on the existing cultural and creative products,and to analyze the design of excellent cultural and creative products at home and abroad,this paper explores the feasibility,research value and application of red mansion culture in the design of cultural and creative products by combining theory with practice.
