The solar simulator is a device that simulates the radiation environment in space.Because it can avoid the intermittent disturbance of solar resources and provide a continuous and controlled irradiation environment for laboratory experiments,it is often used as an important experimental platform for the study of solar heat sink,thermochemical process and solar cell characteristics.In this paper,the flexible optical fiber beam is introduced into the study of solar simulator because of their ability to transmit high concentration irradiation.The purpose of this paper is to develop a concentrated solar simulator that can output light spots of different shapes to improve the flexibility of output shape of solar simulatorThis paper develops a flexible concentrating solar simulator based on glass fiber capable of transmitting high concentration radiation.First,this article analyzes the components and system types of the solar simulator in detail,and completes the overall design of the simulator system according to the technical indicators of this paper.Then,by analyzing the optical characteristics of different light sources,a short-arc xenon lamp is selected as the light source of the simulator,and the parameters of the ellipsoidal reflector are designed according to the actual size of the xenon lamp housing and the radiation distribution of the xenon lamp in space.By analyzing the light transmission principle and attenuation mechanism of the optical fiber,the glass fiber that can withstand high temperatures is selected as the light transmission medium,and the coupling design of the xenon lamp-ellipsoid mirror-glass fiber in the optical system is finally realized.Finally.three different secondary concentrators were designed to achieve different forms of arrangement of fiber bundles.Through the flux mapping method,the radiation distribution of the output of the simulator in three different arrangements was obtained.The results show that The output irradiance can reach 500kw/m2 when the optical fiber bundle is arranged on a spherical surface.This paper has developed a concentrating solar simulator based on optical fiber bundles capable of transmitting high concentration radiation,completed the construction of the entity,and verified through experiments that the introduction of the fiber bundle can give the simulator greater flexibility.
