Research On The Performance Evaluation Of China’s Electric Power Listed Companies Based On Factor Analysis

The power industry has always been a basic industry related to China’s national economy and people’s livelihood.The power industry has strong financial strength and a wide range of user groups.Its products are closely related to everyone’s life.At present,with the rapid development of the industry and the advent of the information age,all industries and industries rely on electricity more and more,making the power industry face unprecedented pressure while developing rapidly.At present,under the macroeconomic background of the country’s promotion of supply-side reforms and emphasis on capacity reduction,the reduction of electricity prices and the rise of electricity costs have caused the profit space of the power industry to be continuously compressed,and power companies are facing unprecedented pressure to survive.Therefore,how to seize the opportunities and seek development in the challenge requires enterprises to review the situation and recognize the industry development trends,but also to know themselves and each other,from their own,understand the shortcomings and challenges faced by enterprises in survival and development,and take Active and effective countermeasures to face the difficulties,face the market challenges,and seize the development opportunities.Under this background,this paper selects listed companies in the power industry as the research object of empirical analysis.During the research,through comparative analysis,the research methods of DuPont analysis,EVA method,balanced scorecard method,principal component analysis and other research methods are implemented.Comparative analysis,and finally chose to use factor analysis to evaluate the performance of listed power companies.When selecting performance evaluation indicators,the development characteristics and development status of the power industry and the factors affecting the performance evaluation of the power industry,such as on-grid electricity prices and coal prices,were selected.Investment activities,taxation policies,and management,and finally selected 16 evaluation indicators.An empirical study was conducted with 51 listed power companies that meet the requirements as samples.Finally,the overall score of each enterprise in the power industry is calculated based on the rotation variance obtained by the empirical analysis method,and the overall score of the 51 listed electric power companies is sorted in descending order with the comprehensive score as the dimension,and the power companies are ranked according to the dimensions of each factor..Therefore,the performance of listed companies in the power industry is evaluated from the perspective of the overall and various factors.In the factor analysis,the financial indicators of the three years from 2016 to 2018 are selected to make a longitudinal comparison between the power industry and the company and analyze its historical development trend.Finally,based on the problems in the power industry found in the performance evaluation,based on the single factor factors,the power listed companies are visually displayed and further analyzed in various dimensions,and a multi-factor comprehensive analysis is carried out from the perspective of comprehensive scores to propose the development of the power industry Improve opinions to improve possible problems in the development of the power industry,seek new development directions for listed power companies with increasingly fierce market competition,and ensure the stable and orderly development of the power industry.
