In recent years,with the increasing importance our country attaches to the ocean,autonomous underwater vehicles(AUV)as tools for exploring underwater resources have developed rapidly.With the increasing requirements for operating capacity and cost of use,various new underwater vehicles have been increasing.In this paper,a new hybrid AUV by water jet and propeller is developed.The nozzle of water jet propulsion system belonging to the vector system is integrated with the rudder blade.The propulsion system relies on the rudder blade to change the Angle of attack,thus adjusting the output direction.The hybrid-drive AUV realizes heading control by water jet propulsion at low speed,which can solve the disadvantage of pure rudder control AUV losing the maneuvering ability at this state.The main research contents and innovations of this article include the following aspects:This thesis studies the overall design scheme of hybrid drive AUV,analyzes the principle of hybrid drive,and studies the technical roadmap of AUV system design,which provides the overall design idea for hybrid-drive AUV.The thesis has realized the selection of the main body shape of the AUV,the overall resistance analysis of the prototype,the optimal installation distance between the rudder blade and the fixed rudder blade,and other hydrodynamic analysis of AUV key parts by the CFD simulation.Then,the part design is optimized according to the simulation results.According to the simulation,we find that the antenna is the external body with the highest resistance in AUV.In order to reduce the AUV’s navigation resistance,a folding antenna system is designed in this paper using a four-bar mechanism.The feasibility of the folded antenna system is proved by ADAMS simulation and static stress analysis.Based on the analysis of the efficiency of water jet propulsion,pipeline loss,and selection of water jet pump,this paper designs a water jet propulsion system that relies on the rudder to control the direction of the nozzle.The system is integrated with the rudder control,and the magnetic coupling is used to solve the problem of dynamic sealing.The main thrust system mainly studies the selection of the motor and the design of the propeller,and the feasibility of the propeller is verified by CFD simulation and pool thrust experiments.This thesis designs the pressure-resistant cabin of AUV and the connection scheme between the cabins,and ensures the reliability of the design through two methods,simulation and test of the prototype.
