| The impact of information and communication technology(ICT)on the construction industry has had a significant impact.This research provides a case study of two separate construction companies that were both participating in the same water construction project.Both organizations had significant differences in how they managed the project,whether it was due to technology or finances,and this thesis examined the impact of ICT on project performance in an Indian construction company.Interviews,observations,and internet content were used to gather data from a variety of sources,the interview was set up with employees from two separate construction companies in order to get into the facts,in greater depth and the semi-structured interview organized with the employees.The data analysis approach for this thesis was coding grounded theory,which is a mixture of case study and coding grounded theory.Were the interview data subjected to a line-by-line coding procedure like open coding,axial coding,and selective codingThe outcome of this study demonstrates the positive and negative effects of ICT and what ICT tools was used in the Indian construction industry,as well as providing a deeper understanding for professionals and readers,as well as filling a knowledge gap.The findings can be extrapolated to other countries with caution,especially those where the construction industry operates in a similar environment to the Indian construction industry in terms of working conditions. |
