After rapid development in recent years,mass concrete occupies a large proportion in hydraulic engineering,and its application is very common.Most engineering facts show that many mass concrete structures have more or less cracking,and thermal stress is one of the most important factors that cause cracking.Therefore,preventing and limiting temperature cracks in concrete is a key technical issue that must be faced in engineering.The thermal-stress coupling analysis of mass concrete has always been an important research direction,and it is also the main basis for temperature control and crack prevention measures.It has important engineering practice value,so it is necessary to carry out research in this area.The thesis based on ANSYS finite element software for two typical dam sections of a concrete gravity dam water retaining section and an overflow dam section,The temperature and stress fields at different water levels during the layered pouring and operation periods are used to perform simulation analysis using the direct coupling method.The main contents of the paper are as follows:1)Study the mechanism of crack generation in gravity dam,and choose the appropriate calculation method and theory of temperature field and stress field.2)Based on the thermal analysis module and structural analysis module in ANSYS software,the retaining dam section of the engineering example is selected,taking into account the comprehensive effects of various factors such as gravity dam material partition,outside air temperature,hydration heat temperature rise,reservoir water temperature,and intermittent time.The numerical simulation of the direct coupling of the temperature field and the stress field during the operation of the retaining dam section is carried out.The numerical calculation results are compared with the measured values to verify the feasibility of the three-dimensional modeling and numerical calculation results.3)After demonstrating the feasibility of the simulation calculation,the numerical simulation analysis of the direct coupling between the temperature field and the stress field by the software during the construction period and the monitoring flood level of the retaining dam section is carried out,and then the same engineering example is overflowed.The numerical simulation of the direct coupling of the temperature field and the stress field at different water levels during the construction period and operation period is carried out.The distribution of temperature field and stress field in the simulation calculation results is analyzed,and the temperature history curve of the feature points is further analyzed to explain the variation law of the temperature of the feature point,and it is judged whether the concrete of the project will crack or not,provide a basis for the temperature control measures of the project.
