Arch dam is an important dam type, in the construction of water conservancy and hydropower, it occupies a very prominent position. It's reasonable structure, beautiful body, safe and economic superiority make it has been widely used both at home and abroad. But because of their own special space arch dam shell structure and complex geometry features, its construction period and the boundary conditions of the situation is complex, this make some rhythm potential safety problems in the construction period and the certain extent. Therefore, the simulation of the arch dam construction and operation period by our system, as well as boundary conditions, analysis of the impact of the construction process and the most dangerous period could make some useful work for operation of the arch dam engineering design and construction.At present, the principal stress analysis for the arch dam mainly contained arch beam method and the finite element method. Finite element method is more perfect and advanced than arch beam method, it is a relatively accurate method, and it's calculation functions is more strong than structural mechanics methods, it can be dealt with arch beam contained many of the difficult issues, finite element can be considered large orifice, complex foundation, piers and other irregular shape of gravity, but also can be simulated arch dam construction and operation process, reasonable considering the overall stiffness arch dam, dam and foundation interaction.
