Color is an important component of scenic forest landscape and an important handgrip to improve the visual aesthetic quality of scenic forest.Scientific analysis of the influence mechanism of scenic forest color landscape characteristics on public visual aesthetic response,and building a systematic universal color landscape evaluation system,and proposing the targeted optimization strategy are of great significance for improving the visual aesthetic quality of scenic forest and its multiple functions.This paper takes Jiaozi Mountain scenic forest as the research object,quantifies the autumn color landscape photos of the scenic forest through color interpretation technology,and uses the forest color quantization program in Matlab to extract the color component indexes,and uses Arc GIS and Fragstats software to extract and calculate the color composition patches indexes,and analyzes the change characteristics of each index in autumn;at the same time,it uses the network questionnaire and slide questionnaire to conduct the scenic beauty survey,uses two independent sample t test,the paired sample Kendall coordination coefficient W test and other methods to investigate whether the results of the two evaluation methods are consistent.Based on the above color indexes and scenic beauty evaluation results,it analyzes the relationship between the autumn scenic forest color characteristics and the public aesthetic response.Specifically,it extracts the color indexes that are significantly related to the public aesthetic response through partial correlation analysis,and uses factor analysis to build the scenic forest color synthesis indexes,and adopts regression analysis to explore the influence of each color index on the scenic beauty value;and selects aesthetic superior landscapes and upgrade landscapes to perform systematic clustering,subdivide the color landscape types,analyze the color common characteristics of landscapes respectively.Furthermore,the scenic forest landscapes with aesthetic advantages and disadvantages are screened out,and the color changing characteristics of the typical tree species within the sight in each landscape are analyzed;and according to the relationship between the color characteristics and the scenic beauty value,the scenic beauty influence of typical tree species and their habitat co-occurrence combination are analyzed;Then it summarizes the geographical distribution breadth and succession stages of typical tree species to provide a basis for their general adaptation.Finally,from the perspective of typical tree species within the sight allocation and replacement optimization,the aesthetic optimization strategy for the color landscape of Jiaozi Mountain scenic forest is proposed in terms of color index control,autumn color matching,and extension of the duration of autumn aesthetic advantages.The main results of the study are as follows:(1)The online questionnaire and the slide show paper questionnaire,the overall distribution and change trend of the two evaluation methods results are very similar,both follow a normal distribution,and the average level is consistent,and the two evaluation methods consistency is very high;the dispersion degree of the slide questionnaire results is higher,and the evaluation distinction is greater and more sensitive.The judgment ability and internal consistency of people in the slide questionnaire are higher than the online questionnaire,but this does not affect the overall level of the evaluation results of the two ways.Therefore,it is reasonable and effective to combine the results obtained by the two judgment forms in data combination and calculation.(2)Through color interpretation,a total of 5 color component indexes and 23 color component patch indexes were extracted.The overall color of Jiaozi Mountain scenic forest contains the green series H5 and H6 which accounted for the largest proportion,followed by the yellow series H3 and H4,and again blue-green series H7,H8,H9,H10,red-yellow H1,H2,H3,H4 showed an upward trend,green H5 first increased and then decreased,the proportion of green H6,H7,H8 showed a downward trend,blue-green H9 appeared increasing after the downward trend,the blue-violet series H10 and H11 showed a downward trend and then an upward trend,and the other hues were not obvious;the medium and low saturation was dominating and in a downward trend;the middle and low brightness was dominating,and the ratio of each brightness was not obvious;the number of colors first declines and then rises,the maximum hue index gradually decreases,and the changes of both are insignificant;the Patch Area Coefficient of Variation(ACOV)first rises and then declines,reaching a peak in the middle of the color change,and the other color component patch indexes have no obvious change.(3)The overall color landscape of Jiaozi Mountain scenic forest in autumn has a large aesthetic difference,and the overall average is at a slightly lower level.As the color changing period progresses,the overall scenic beauty value increases first and then decreases.The overall scenic beauty value in the early middle stage of color change is the highest.The color characteristics of aesthetic advantages landscape is common: the color patches are rich and diverse,the spatial structure is slightly complex,the dominant patches are medium to low in visibility and have good connectivity,the smaller patches are scattered,the landscape is diverse and balanced;the maximum hue index refers to relatively high,the color is richer,the saturation is higher,and the black and high-brightness colors show a certain contrast between light and dark.The green series share more proportion,or the yellow series with higher saturation are slightly higher than the green series.In addition,there are individual landscape with more dominant patches,but there are small patches with strong color pairs scattered among them.The color commonality of the aesthetics enhance landscape: dominant patches have strong dominance,and the overall landscape is single gathered,or the structure is too complex,and the color patches are too fragmented,and there are no dominant patches;the maximum hue index is relatively low,and the color richness is low,low Saturation colors dominate,black and high-brightness colors account for very low proportions,and gray and withered yellow color series are more.(4)There are 96 typical tree species within the sight of Jiaozi Mountain scenic forest.The patch type of tree species is much more than that of color patch type.According to life type classification,there are 8 species of coniferous forest,1 species of broad-leaved forest,1 species of bamboo,and 1 species of herb.The longest duration of the aesthetic superiority period was 33 species such as Huashan pine,while the 12 species including Iron oak continued to have a low aesthetic response.According to the color classification of tree species,there are mainly three categories:evergreen,deciduous green change,and deciduous red yellow change.Among them,when the deciduous red yellow forest become red and yellow change has a high public aesthetic response on the color landscape,with a total of 48 species.According to the spatial co-occurrence of tree species,it can be divided into 6 distribution areas of plant combinations.Among them,the superior scenic beauty value of plant combination II lasts the longest,followed by the III,V,IV,and I plant combinations,and the VI scenic beauty value has been always low.The geographical distribution of typical tree species ranges from tropical Asia to tropical Oceania to Jiaozishan endemic species,a total of 15 distribution types;classified by succession stage,there are 8 native vegetation or zonal vegetation,and 5 secondary vegetation.(5)Subdivided according to the color change type of tree species,there are 10 types including green → yellow → yellow,gray,etc.;most of the tree species are colored with medium saturation and medium brightness,and the saturation of some tree species gradually decreases as the color change period progresses.Some tree species show yellow with high saturation and high brightness,and a small number of low-saturation tree species have low beauty.The replacement optimization of typical tree species is from the three color matching relationships of autumn evergreen,co-variation of deciduous colors,and color contrast.Aiming at the problem of red-yellow color change → deciduous tree species’ short duration of aesthetic superiority,the red-yellow color changing species with different phenological phases and the evergreen can be balanced configuration to extend the duration of aesthetic superiority.For the types of iron oak-fragrant wood,rhododendron shrub,and sharp-pointed long-figure fir-rhododendron forest,the first goal should be to protect the ecological stability of vegetation,promote the benign cycle and forward evolution of plants,and reduce the exposure of soil and stone,and secondly according to the aforementioned tree species The color types are replaced accordingly to improve the scenic beauty value and extend the duration of aesthetic advantages.
