Sulfur and sulfur-based stabilizers have significant effects on enhancing the cross-linking and improving the performance of modified asphalt.However,the shortcomings of pure sulfur or high-concentration sulfur,such as high pollution and high risk,restrict its application in the production of modified asphalt.Bio-based materials have excellent compatibility with asphalt,and appropriate use can improve the performance of asphalt.Bio-based materials have the advantages of renewable,high environmental protection and low pollution.Therefore,in this thesis,bio-based materials,vulcanization accelerators and sulfur were used to compound bio-based stabilizers with low sulfur content,and investigate the effects of bio-based stabilizers on modified asphalt.The test results provide the basis and possibility for the application of bio-based stabilizers.In this thesis,bio-based stabilizers are used to prepare SBS modified asphalt,high-viscosity modified asphalt and rubber-plastic modified asphalt,and then studied the physical properties,high-and low-temperature properties,rheological properties and microscopic properties of modified asphalt.Finally,verified the factory practical application and potential of bio-based stabilizers.The nine types of bio-based stabilizers were prepared with two bio-based materials,vulcanization accelerators and sulfur powder,and the bio-based stabilizers were used to prepare the SBS-modified asphalt.The performance of SBS-modified asphalts was investigated.Results showed that the SBS modified asphalt prepared with bio-based stabilizers with good physical properties,and 8/9 samples have good storage stability.The optimization stabilizers were Stabilizer B,D and E.The SBS modified asphalt,high-viscosity modified asphalt and rubber-plastic modified asphalt were prepared with different amount of bio-based stabilizers,and physical properties and high-and low-temperature performances of modified asphalt were investigated.The best content of bio-based stabilizer was selected based on the results.The results showed that the storage stability of modified asphalt is improved with the increase of stabilizer contents.And modified asphalts prepared with bio-based stabilizer have good high-and low-temperature performance.Combining the physical properties,high-and low-temperature performance analysis of modified asphalt,it is determined that the optimal amount of Stabilizer B,D,and E in SBS modified asphalt are all 0.2%,the optimal amount of Stabilizer B,D,and E in high-viscosity modified asphalt are all 0.3%,and the optimal amount of Stabilizer B,D and E in rubber-plastic modified asphalt are all 0.4%.The rheological properties and microscopic performances of modified asphalt which prepared with optimal amount of bio-based stabilizers were investigated.Based on the text results,the further optimize type of stabilizers for modified asphalt was selected.Results showed that the formation of modified asphalt is physical modification.Combined with the rheological properties and the microscopic performance analysis of modified asphalt,it is determined that the SBS modified asphalt is preferably 0.2% Stabilizer D,the high-viscosity modified asphalt is preferably 0.3% Stabilizer B,and the rubber-plastic modified asphalt is preferably 0.4% Stabilizer E.The SBS modified asphalt was produced in the factory with bio-based stabilizer and sulfur-based stabilizer,and the macro properties of the modified asphalt was compared.The practical application potential of bio-based stabilizer was evaluated based on the text results.Results showed that the SBS modified asphalt prepared with bio-based stabilizer and sulfur-based stabilizer all have excellent storage stability,and the high-temperature performance of the SBS-modified asphalt prepared with bio-based stabilizer is better than that of SBS-modified asphalt prepared with sulfur-based stabilizer.The ductility and penetration is slightly lower than that of SBS-modified asphalt prepared with sulfur-based stabilizer.The bio-based stabilizer has application potential.
