In recent years,due to the rapid development of computer version and improvement of hardware intelligence,smart camera hardware is widely used in life and production.As an important part of current computer vision system,software plays a significent role in camera implementation.This work studied WLAN camera and USB camera respectively and designed an Android software that provides WLAN camera connection and USB camera connection ability to suit different situations require more flexibility or higher stabitity and transmission speed.To achieve this goal,this work firstly designed the way both WLAN camera and USB camera work on Android platform by implementing TCP/IP protocol and Linux V4L2 API,then designed the camera native API to both provides and restrics the way upper application to use,which making the developments of upper layer application and lower layer camera API proceeding separately.The camera application was consisted by three modules,device enumeration module,camera control module and file module.Device enumeration module handles camera connection issues,enable user to list connected deivces and choose deivice to manipulate.Camera control module contains camera video playing and camera paramenter control,user can also take snapshot and record camera video.All those snapshots and videos can be found in file module,which provides smooth file browsing and powerful image processing ability.After building application framework,several functions were added into application to facilitate camera implementation,including base image processing function,calibration and measure function,real-time video stream extend of depth function and wireless file transmission function(by WLAN and bluetooth).Finally,all functions above were tested using XCAM4K camera which supports both WLAN and USB connection,the result showed great robustness and smoothness,and reached our initial design goal.
