The design of X-ray streak camera's control system comes from the SG subject, where the camera works as an important diagnostic tool and its control system plays a key role. Since operating the camera under radiation circumstances will cause heavy workload and radiation damage to lab operators, a wireless control system needs to be designed to realize remote control over the camera.Previous streak camera's control is either realized through PC or embedded system. PC system is based on computers whose terminal graphical interface is for remote control over the streak camera. Control system based on PC is inconvenient to carry and far from handheld control, its application is limited to certain extent. The embedded system utilizes its QT interface on ARM development board to manipulate the streak camera. Control system based on embedded platform is not portable enough and not available for long range.Combined the application features of WiFi in 2.4G wireless communication technology and the development superiority of Android operating system in mobile device field, a wireless control system based on Android is designed, literally realizing handheld control over the streak camera. The whole wireless system is consisted of software module and hardware module. The hardware module is a wireless serial interface module based on ESP8266 EX WiFi chip, it's for creating wireless network as well as receiving and sending data. The software module is an Android-based app designed for the need of manipulating the streak camera.WiFi serial interface module mainly includes the highly integrated ESP8266 EX chip and peripheral circuit like time clock, RF antenna and so on. Then programming the SDK firmware, configuring the AP mode through AT command, setting the IP address and port number to draw the Android device into the wireless network, consequently achieving transparent transmission of control commands and operating data. The Android-based app mainly involves the design of SQlite database, wireless network communication and control framework.Finally, series of experiments for function examination and performance evaluation are conducted, experimental results reveal that the system is stable and qualified for practical use. All in all, an Android-based wireless control system for streak camera is realized in this thesis.
