| Groundwater is the main drinking water source in North and Northwest China.The drinking safety and suitability of groundwater quality are very important.Therefore,it is urgent to evaluate the quality of underground drinking water and to find the influencing factors of water quality.According to the monitoring data of groundwater sources of drinking water plants in the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia,China,in the study,based on the information entropy theory,the groundwater source quality of drinking water plants in the research area was evaluated,and the influence of Groundwater pumpage and rainfall on the groundwater quality of each water plant was analyzed,and the information transmission rate of groundwater quality among groundwater sources of the water plants was classified,to determine the similarity among the groundwater sources,to find out some relevant information on the impact of water quality,which provides for groundwater resource management in this area.According to the monitoring data of ground wayer quality of 23water plants in the study area from 2010 to 2020,the entropy water quality index was calcuated,and the water quality types of water plants were classified to determine the evolution direction of water quality.The results show that the water quality type of groundwater sources of most water plants belongs to medium and good,however,the water quality type of Donghe water plant,Haibowan second water plant and new pumping station water plant changed into poor water quality under the influence of water production.The order of drinking water quality type from good to bad was Ordos>Hohhot>Bayannaoer>Bayanhot>Baotou>Wuhai.By studying on the mutual information entropy between the influencing factors of water quality and water quality and the relations hip between entropy water quality index and the groundwater pump age of each water plant,the relationship between entropy water quality index and rainfall entropy,the result shows the groundwater pumpage and rainfall are the decisive factors affecting the water quality of each plant.The more the groundwater pumpage leads to the worse water quality,the influence degree of pumpage on water quality of each water plant is different.The water plants with deteriorating water quality types should be kept as far as possible below a certain limit of water pumpage to ensure groundwater source quality.Generally,with regard to the impact of rainfall on ground water quality in the study area,the greater rainfall is,the better groundwater quality is.However,Rainfall in Baotou and Wuhai are a will produce leaching to affect on groundwater quality,resulting in the increase of NO3-concentration in groundwater.Thus pollution prevention and control of non-point source and environmental management should be strengthened to ensure the groundwater quality in the region.Based on the theory of mutual information entropy,the information transfer rate among groundwater source of water plants was calculated.The larger the information transfer rate is,the stronger the similarity among groundwater source of water plants is,indicating they have the same impact factors.The research results show that the water quality information transfer rate of No.3 water plant,Xiliugou water plant,Zhandanzhao water plant,Huanghe Water Plant,Wuda first water plant and Wuda second water plant is higher and have higher similarity,indicating they are affected by the same factor surface water recharge,therefor,similar measures can be taken to protect the water recharge in the griundwater sources of these water plants.Jinchuan water plant,Ruyi water plant,Baita water plant,second water plant,forth water plant,Dongmenwai water plant,Donghe water plant,Haibowan second water plant and new pumping station water plant have higher transmission rate of water quality information,indicating the water quality of these water plants is more affected by groundwater pumpage,so the water quality of these water plants should be protected by controlling groundwater pumpage.The water quality of Kunqu water plant,Qingshan water plant,Jiuyuan water plant,Hainan water plant and Haibowan first water plant may be affected by rainfall leaching,therefore,the protection of soil and management of solid wastes piled up on the surface around the groundwater source of water plant should be strengthened. |
