The pipe belt conveyor is a closed continuous special belt conveyor developed on a traditional trough belt conveyor.It has the characteristics of environmental protection,space turning,large inclination,etc.It is widely used in the bulk material processing industry.The force between the conveyor belt and the roller set determines the running resistance of the pipe belt conveyor,which affects the power consumption of the conveyor.It plays a decisive role in the development,installation and operation of the pipe belt conveyor,which is a special operating characteristic of the closed conveyor system.The force between the conveyor belt and the roller set can be obtained by experimental methods,finite element methods,and analytical methods.In this paper,the contact force value of the 1600ST2000 8T/6T conveyor belt sample was measured by the conveyor belt sixpoint bending stiffness test device.Then the finite element method is used to model the experiment.By calibrating the experimental data with the finite element calculation results,the parameters of the finite element model are determined and the validity of the finite element model is proved.The model was then used to identify the transverse bending stiffness of the 1600ST2500 8T/6T conveyor belt.Then,using the parameters of the 1600ST2500 8T/6T conveyor belt combined with the characteristics of the actual pipe belt conveyor,the finite element model of the threeroller set is established.The model is used to study the stress state of the straight section and the curved section of the pipe conveyor under unload and material loading conditions.The influence parameters of contact force and forming force such as the transverse bending stiffness,material gravity and tension in the conveyor belt are studied.The ratio between the contact force between the unit length conveyor belt and the roller group and the gravity load is changed in the range of 2~3,and the ratio in the trough conveyor is given.The evaluation criteria for the pipeforming properties of the pipe conveyor belt are given.The proximity between outer contour line of the conveyor belt and the inscribed circle of the hexagonal roller group is used to evaluate the pipeforming properties of the pipe conveyor belt.The selection criteria of the transverse bending stiffness is present;The tension in the conveyor belt has a certain reduction effect on the forming force and the contact force of the straight section.Finally,the force between the conveyor belt and the roller set was calculated by analytical method.The forming force,belt gravity and material gravity are regarded as the external loads applied to the pipe belt respectively.The force caused by each external load is calculated and finally superimposed.The force values between the conveyor belt and the roller set obtained by the finite element method and the analytical method are very close,further illustrating the reliability of the data.
