With the continuous progress of science,technology and society,the trend of "homogenization" of commercial coffee maker products is becoming increasingly apparent,and the differences in materials,processes and functions are not obvious.Relying on previous price and technical advantages is no longer sufficient to gain an advantage in the market.How to consolidate the brand image of a commercial coffee machine and consolidate its corporate brand image and occupy the market advantage has become the key for domestic coffee machine manufacturers to seek breakthroughs.Therefore,a method of applying the product family DNA concept to the appearance design of coffee machines has been proposed.The main research contents of the paper are as follows:(1)Collect and organize the information on the product styling of famous coffee machine brands at home and abroad,and use non-critical information to extract and summarize the wireframes of the three brands De Longhi,NESPRESSO,and Dr.Ka Based on this,analyze the gap between domestic and foreign product modeling.(2)Summarize the product family characteristics of different brand products from the aspects of shape,color and material,use mapping relationships to explore the relationship between modeling elements and product characteristics,and combine the extraction of three brand modeling elements to obtain a family of commercial coffee machines.Design principles.(3)Based on the pilot platform and based on the summarized family design principles,extract and analyze the pilot product styling elements,and determine the relationship between pilot product styling elements and product characteristics,and then summarize the pilot product family design principles.And the establishment of design ideas.(4)Select Pilot’s existing product commercial coffee machines to combine the above theoretical methods and principles for design practice.Based on the current status of the domestic coffee machine product market,combined with industrial design theory,this article analyzes the coffee machine modeling characteristics of major domestic and foreign brands,and conducts a comparative analysis and research between the brand itself and the brand to explore the characteristics and principles of coffee machine modeling design.Analysis of the relationship with product characteristics leads to the family design principles of commercial coffee machines.Combine the summarized family principles to explore the relationship between the product modeling extraction and product feature mapping based on the pilot platform.At the same time,research the environment,human-machine relationship,and component relationship of commercial coffee machines.After determining the modeling idea,select a specific model for commercial use.The coffee machine is designed and practiced,and the ground-based production has achieved good benefits,which verifies the practical significance of this subject and has reference significance for similar products.
