The bearing bracket is an important component of a new heavy-duty truck.It plays a role of supporting the bearing and enhancing the stability of the bearing during operation.The bearing bracket is a special-shaped part,which has a large number of chamfers,bosses and curved surfaces.The structural thickness of some parts is thin,resulting in difficulties in positioning and clamping during the machining process,and the deformation from the during clamping and machining is large,the production efficiency is low,and the scrap rate is high.In order to solve the machining problem of the bearing bracket,special fixtures for machining of bearing bracket parts are researched and designed through analyzing the machining proces of the bearing bracket,and considering the conditions of the enterprise and the needs of mass production.The deformation of the workpiece during clamping and processing is solved and machining efficiency and quality are improved.Through analysis of the technical requirements of the bearing bracket parts,such as their structural characteristics,geometric accuracy of parts,surface roughness,etc.,and consideration of the machining condition,a reasonable machining method and machine tools are determined,and a complete machining order was formulated.According to the structural characteristics of the parts,a special fixture with high positioning accuracy and fast and reliable clamping is designed.The positioning method with one side and two pins is adopted.The positioning elements with supporting positioning pins,ball head supporting nails and flat A-type supporting nails are selected to solve the positioning difficulty and low positioning accuracy.An auxiliary positioning mechanism is designed which increases the success rate of self-positioning the workpiece 97.5%,and effectively decreases the positioning and clamping adjustment time and reduces the labor intensity of the worker.The designed fixture has a reversible function to realize the machining of multiple surfaces at a time,which greatly improves the production efficiency.Using solid Thinking Inspire software,the layout and number of auxiliary supports are optimized based on the topology optimization theory,and to effectively balance the machining cutting force and avoid machining deformation of the workpiece.Using the ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis software,static analysis of the fixture system was carried out to obtain the total deformation cloud and strain cloud map of the fixture,and the verify of the fixture.The machining result proves that the special fixture meets the actual processing technical requirements.
