In the development and production of aero-engine fuel nozzles, jet fuel is usually used as the test medium for testing and testing the atomization performance indexes of the nozzles. However, because of the large number of global manufacturers of jet fuel, even the same jet fuel in the specific parameters will be different, resulting in debugging and testing nozzle of the various atomization performance indicators error.Because of the continuous updating and substitution of jet fuel in China, the test medium of nozzle changes accordingly, which affects the stable production of batch products and the reliable development of new generation products,so aviation enterprises urgently need a general test standard fuel for industry.Three aero-engine nozzles as the research objects are used Fluent software to simulate the internal flow and atomization of aero-engine nozzle when the working medium is RP-3 aero-kerosene or standard fuel 1.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)By comparing the physical and chemical properties of RP-3 aviation kerosene and standard 1 fuel,it is known that RP-3 aviation kerosene and standard 1 fuel have little differen ce from the physical parameters of density and viscosity.(2)The velocity distribution, pressure distribution, turbulent kinetic energy distributio n and gas phase volume distribution of the fuel flow in the three nozzles are compared and an alyzed by using different working media.Among the three air nozzles, the working medium, whether RP-3 aviation kerosene or standard aviation kerosene or standard fuel No.1,are simil ar and the distribution law is similar.(3)Numerical analysis of the atomizing field outside the three nozzles using different working media. The velocity distribution, discrete phase concentration distribution and spray morphology simulation of each atomizing field were compared. It was found that the working medium, whether RP-3 aviation kerosene or standard solution No.1,had similar velocity distr ibution, discrete phase concentration distribution and spray morphology simulation. The distri bution law,SMD and spray penetration distance were similar.(4)Based on the above studies,we can see that RP-3 aviation kerosene and standard 1 fuel have common points in many aspects, given the advantages of standard 1 fuel in flash poi nt and total sulfur content. As a result, standard fuel No.1 can replace RP-3 aviation kerosene as a special standard fuel for the inspection of aircraft fuel system components,so as to solve the problem that the components of aircraft fuel system produced by major aviation enterprise s in China do not match the test data due to different detection fluids.
