China’s high-speed railway began a period of rapid development since 2008.Over the past decade,China developed the world’s largest high-speed railway network.The overhead contact line system(OCS)is of growing significance in high-speed railway as the only power supply source for the high-speed EMU trains.Malfunctioning OCS may interrupt the operation of the railway in the fault section and cut off the power supply of the air conditioners in the EMU trains,which may even pose a serious life threat to the passengers seated in the airtight carriages.In light of this concern,the past few years witnessed the development of a range of technologies for OCS detection.While due to the fact that the theoretic studies and experience summaries on the detection technologies are yet to be systematic,that the applied detection technology varies in different operating conditions,and that the applied critical technology has not undergone rigorous screening process,improvement and optimization,it is a requisite to conduct in-depth theoretic and practical application study on the applied OCS detection technologies.This paper discusses the OCS imaging detection device that is extensively used in many pilot programs and studies the critical image-based technologies including the image acquisition technique for OCS detection,triggering technique for camera shooting and data analysis.The paper focuses on the optimization of the design plan of imaging detection acquisition.Through a nationwide investigation and analysis of a variety of OCS structures,it proposed three major detection sections of OCS,illustrating the positions and features of each.Then,it developed a technical design of the imaging acquisition device applied to the three major sections and selected hardware based on the design.With the utilization of the minimum number of equipment,the design proposal passed the site test based on its up-to-standard image definition,sharpness and exposure as well as its good environment adaptability.The paper elaborates on the design of 2 imaging detection triggering plans,comparing and selecting their technical edges.Based on the machine vision technology and feature point identification,2 imaging detection triggering plans were designed.Further analysis was conducted on the design principle and critical technologies.The abovementioned two triggering devices were tested on site in Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway from 2017 to2018.The result suggests that the device can be triggered more precisely with feature point identification technique.It studies the data analysis technology and develops the discriminant analysis software based on the imaging detection data.The software is able to perform transformation and storage of the non-structured data of imaging detection as well as task allocation,offering an image analysis and diagnosis platform for the analysts as a reliable,highly efficient and convenient tool for data analysis of OCS imaging detection.
