With the continuous increase of road traffic mileage in our country,the quality inspection of road service status is also increasing day by day.As a common disease of asphalt pavement with semi-rigid base,cracks are the top priority of road inspection work.However,the traditional road detection method has certain limitations to the detection of asphalt cracks,especially for the detection of hidden cracks such as reflective cracks on asphalt pavements.As a new,efficient and non-destructive road detection method,ground penetrating radar is increasingly used in the detection of road cracks.Although ground penetrating radar has many advantages in detecting cracks,the current interpretation of ground penetrating radar reflected images mainly depends on the user’s experience,and subjectivity has a strong influence on the results.Therefore,in order to improve the detection accuracy of the ground penetrating radar and strengthen the theoretical guidance,from the perspective of theoretical research,this paper carried out indoor research and numerical simulation of the ground penetrating radar detection of asphalt pavement in view of the problems in the current research,and analyzed the results And discussions with a view to giving guidance to practical applications.In the study of the application of ground penetrating radar(GPR),this paper first summarizes the physics principle of electromagnetic wave and the theoretical basis of ground-penetrating radar,do to the types of ground penetrating radar(GPR)in detail,on the basis of an analysis of the mathematical model of the ground penetrating radar(GPR)to detect the thickness of the pavement and the whole process of the bottom of the road diseases,help users are familiar with the use of ground penetrating radar(GPR).At the same time,this paper introduces several parameters of ground penetrating radar in detail,and points out their roles and effects in the application of ground penetrating radar.This paper summarizes the data processing methods of GPR in detail,and points out the advantages and disadvantages of each data processing method and its applicable scope as well as its possible influence.A series of test models are designed according to several typical conditions of asphalt pavement cracking,and the effect and accuracy of ground penetrating radar(GPR)in detecting asphalt cracks under different conditions are studied by analyzing the results of laboratory tests,and Suggestions are put forward for the practical application of GPR based on the analysis results.In this paper,the finite difference simulation software gpr Max is also used to establish the electromagnetic model based on FDTD theory to simulate the laboratory experiments,and the relationship between the crack width and the amplitude of radar reflected signal is analyzed according to the simulation results,and the formula of the regression curve is given.
