With the acceleration of urbanization,many residents live in the outskirts of the city affected by the housing price and urban land,and most of them need to take public transportation to the city when they work.In peak hours,residents work and travel intensively,which can increase the frequency of public transportation to meet the needs of passengers.However,in off-peak hours,due to the low and scattered travel demand of residents,if the bus departure frequency is too high,the operation cost of public transport enterprises will be higher,if the departure frequency is too low,the waiting time for passengers will be longer.The application of information technology and Internet technology in the intelligent bus system,as well as the rise and development of the online car-hailing model,provide ideas for solving the contradiction between bus operating costs and passenger waiting time.This paper draws on the idea of car-hailing and intelligent bus system technology,and proposes a flexible bus dispatching model based on site demand response,which can improve the service level of public traffic during off-peak hours in the outskirts of the city.Firstly,this article expounds the concept and characteristics of flexible bus,analyzes the applicable conditions of flexible bus from the applicable environment,time period and road conditions,and then analyzes the influencing factors of flexible bus operation scheduling,and introduces the relevant technology.Secondly,the physical structure of the flexible bus dispatching system is designed,and the reservation mode of passengers and the structure and function of the vehicle terminal and dispatching center are analyzed.At the same time,according to the setting principle of demand response site,the location model of demand response site is established,and the feasibility of the model is verified by an example analysis.Thirdly,based on the method of making bus schedule,the slack time of bus service demand response station is introduced,and the departure interval function of flexible bus is established.Considering the disturbance of passenger time value and bus operation cost,the response judgment function of single-line flexible bus is constructed,and the feasibility and advantages of single-line flexible bus dispatching are verified by an example.Then,taking the passenger’s waiting time,passenger’s reduced walking time,and passenger’s increased travel time as indicators,considering the comprehensive benefits of the bus service demand response station and the bus operating cost constraints,a coordinated scheduling model of multi-line flexible bus was established,at the same time,a genetic algorithm was designed to solve the model.Finally,Chongqing’s 180,396 and 122 bus lines were selected as the research object,and a demand response station for coordinated dispatch of multi-line flexible buses was set up,and the departure time of flexible buses of each line was determined.According to the actual investigation and scenario design,the operation comparison between singleline flexible bus and conventional bus,and the comparison between multi-line flexible bus coordinated scheduling and single-line scheduling are carried out.The results show that flexible bus scheduling can reduce passengers’ station waiting time and bus departure frequency,on this basis,multi-line flexible bus coordinated scheduling can reduce the overall passenger time.
