Research On Bionic Design Of Travel Trailer Body Styling

In this paper,bionic design is introduced into the design and development process of travel trailer body styling,to enrich the shape of travel trailer body styling,improve the design aesthetic sense,stimulate the emotional resonance of users,and better meet the aesthetic and emotional needs of consumers.Firstly,the relevant theories are studied.Based on the theory of bionic design,the research contents and types of bionic design are summarized.This paper expounds the evolution and development of automotive body styling,discusses the function and significance of morphological bionic design for automotive body styling,as well as the process and design method of morphological bionic design for automotive body styling.Secondly,design analysis is carried out.The travel trailer model cases and body styling characteristics are analyzed to clarify the body styling design elements.Based on the bionic design theory,the application of morphological bionic design in the body styling of travel trailer is analyzed.Based on the above analysis and the body shape design process,the morphological bionic design process of the body shape of the travel trailer is proposed.The bionic steps in the process are analyzed emphatically,and the contents,principles and key points of each step are clarified to guide the design practice.Finally,design practice is carried out.Through market research and user research,the user needs and aesthetic preferences are understood,and the design positioning is derived.The "White Whale" was selected and determined as the bionic prototype,and the morphological characteristics of "White Whale" were analyzed.The contouring line and structural line elements of the head and tail of "White Whale" were extracted,and then transformed on the basis of following the design aesthetic law and not changing the semantic meaning of the morphological feature elements.Combined with the body styling of travel trailer,the biological characteristics of "White Whale" were applied to the body styling design.Through the steps of sketch design,3D digital model making,model rendering and body styling effect drawing expression,the body styling design of travel trailer was completed,which made the design practice achieve the desired effect.Combined with the theory of bionic design,by styling of travel trailer body shape morphological bionic design contents,steps,the principle of in-depth analysis and elaboration,obtained some beneficial to travel trailer body styling design of new ideas,to explore morphological bionic design process suitable for travel trailer body styling,and has carried on the design practice.It can provide some methods and experience for our country’s recreation vehicle styling design.
