Study On The Application Of Traditional Geometric Patterns In Contemporary Landscape Structures

Traditional geometric patterns have rich cultural connotation,concise shape and profound implication,and have a profound influence on the field of contemporary design.From ancient times to the present,the evolution and development of traditional geometric patterns in each historical period have condensed the wisdom and creation of the working people,reflecting the powerful creativity of the Chinese nation,as well as the unique art culture.Therefore,the inheritance,development and innovative application of traditional geometric patterns are more important.With the development of the city,people have higher and higher requirements for the quality of living environment.As an important part of the city landscape,landscape structures have gradually attracted people’s attention and love.The image of a city is often inseparable from the support behind the landscape structures.Therefore,it is an important task for urban development to pay attention to the design and research of urban landscape structures.In this paper,the combination of traditional geometric patterns and contemporary landscape structures can not only inject fresh blood into landscape structures,but also appeal to people’s attention to traditional culture,and further feel the unique strength of traditional culture.This paper discusses the application of traditional geometric patterns in contemporary landscape structures from five parts.The first part discusses the overview of traditional geometric patterns,the types of traditional geometric patterns,and the historical evolution of traditional geometric patterns in Chinese traditional architecture and structures.The second part analyzes the definition,types and functions of landscape structures,as well as the problems existing in the practice of contemporary landscape structures in China.The third part,through the analysis of traditional geometric pattern at home and abroad in the cases of landscape structure,refined culture elements in the landscape structure and cultural related case,at the same time in domestic landscape for the mining of traditional culture and the performance of the design,analysis of the fusion of traditional geometric pattern and landscape structures,by introducing the traditional patterns of the geometric structure of contemporary landscape design expression of the traditional culture inheritance and innovation.The fourth part,through the research and exploration of the first three parts,finally summarizes the design principles and strategies of introducing traditional geometric patterns into landscape structures.The fifth part,under the guidance of principles,carries on the design practice with the concrete design strategy,explores the application and expression of traditional cultural elements in the design of contemporary landscape structures.
