| Traditional villages are an important carrier of Chinese farming civilization.They contain a large amount of historical and cultural information,social and cultural landscapes,and retain the regionality and diversity of the traditional Chinese culture.However,with the rapid development of industrialization,urbanization,and agricultural modernization,the number of natural villages has been drastically reduced,and the traditional culture they carried has disappeared.The protection and development of traditional villages are facing huge challenges.In this context,this paper takes the first to fifth batches of traditional villages in the demonstration city of Fuzhou City for the centralized and contiguous protection and utilization of traditional villages as the research objects,using Arc GIS spatial analysis tools and mathematical statistical analysis methods,and following the research paradigm of "pattern-processmechanism" in geography,by analyzing the spatial distribution characteristics and temporal and spatial evolution of traditional villages in Fuzhou,explore the factors affecting the temporal and spatial distribution of traditional villages in Fuzhou.Finally,based on the concept of story map,the research results of traditional villages in Fuzhou are visualized,and a framework for linking theoretical research with practical applications is constructed,presenting a better way of expression and display.The research draws the following conclusions:(1)From the perspective of spatial distribution,the traditional villages in Fuzhou City show a spatial distribution pattern of "small-scale gathering" and "large-scale scattered".Among them,Jinxi County has the largest number of traditional villages,and the overall characteristic is the spatial orientation distribution of "SouthwestNortheast" gathering.(2)From the perspective of time evolution,traditional villages in Fuzhou were mainly formed in the Song Dynasty.With the increasing number of traditional villages replaced by dynasties,and the spatial distribution of traditional villages gradually gathered,Jinxi County became the gathering center for the growth of traditional villages.(3)From the perspective of the influencing factors of spatio-temporal distribution,natural environmental factors fundamentally restrict the site selection of traditional villages.The site selection of traditional villages in Fuzhou is biased towards low altitude and near water sources.Social and human factors affect the efficiency of the development and protection of traditional villages,and in turn affect the spatial distribution of existing villages.Traditional villages in Fuzhou are mainly distributed in areas far from the current central city,with underdeveloped economy,inconvenient transportation,and low urbanization rate.(4)In terms of the visualization practice of research,The story map can directly display the current research status,temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of traditional villages in Fuzhou City,and typical villages on the web page.Users can slide and click to select interesting parts to browse and understand.This visualization method can effectively convey the historical,cultural and spatial information of traditional villages in Fuzhou City,enhance the appeal of the results display,and achieve the goals of geographic knowledge construction and popular science propaganda. |
