Research On The Means Of Shanghai Rural Public Space Activation Based On The Influence Of Population Mobility

Public space is a container for social activities happening and also is an important medium to enhance site vitality.In traditional villages,public space is the very space for villagers to hold all kinds of events,ceremonies and activities,creating the atmosphere for “acquaintance society”.Responding to the policy of countryside regeneration and influence of population mobility,Shanghai government has gradually put forward successive development plans and regeneration strategies for village public space.From the status quo point of view,there re mainly the following problems for Shanghai rural public space: 1)the overall style lacks the feature of bottom-up population in megalopolis;2)in terms of spatial pattern and texture,arrangement continuity and form types are lacked;3)in terms of function and demands,consideration and care for main users should be moreIn response to these three problems,the author of this research discusses the development mode of Shanghai rural public space based on political and economic background at the macro level,combining the current situation and influence of population mobility.Furthermore,the author tentatively put forward some suggestions for ideal model building at the medium level and specific village design research at the micro level.This research hopes it will be of value for present and future rural public space renewal projects,in face of population mobility.The research is composed of three parts.The first part raise questions that correspond to the content of Chapter 1.In this introductory chapter,it first expounds China policies of New Rural Villages Regeneration,Beautiful Countryside Construction,and Rural Area Revitalization,which is followed by the discussion of demographic changes.With the inflow of population,the local population is experiencing reverse trend.It points out what the social integration of floating population means for rural public space construction and theoretical basis for this opinion.This chapter provides evidence-based theoretical support for the main part of the following-up research paper,and proposes the core topic: the means of Shanghai rural public space activation based on the influence of population mobility.At the same time,Chapter 1 explains relevant theories and academic development,analyzing the feasibility and significance of this research.Finally,the research content,methods and framework,as well as innovations and inspirations of the topic are briefly illustrated.The second part analyzes the problems according to the current situation,composed of the Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.The second and third chapter are detailed analysis of theories and status quo.Chapter 2 induces the prototype of Shanghai rural public space under the influence of population mobility in typological way,and analyzes the problems of typical villages.Chapter 3 analyzes the differences of local and floating population current situation,and summarizes the relationship between population change and public space from the perspective of behavioral architecture.Therefore,Chapter 3 lays a theoretical foundation for the following discussion.The third part is core component of research result application,trying to solve the problems,which is from Chapter 4 to Chapter 6.The fourth chapter analyzes under the influence of population mobility two types of rural public space: agricultural economy village and ancient town relic village.Based on that,an ideal model is proposed,clarifying the logic and content.The fifth chapter attempts to put theoretical thinking and ideal model into implementation,explaining in details the means of activating rural public space in Shanghai under the influence of population mobility.Chapter 6 puts forward the principles and specific strategies for rural public space activation.Finally,as the conclusion of research,this paper summarizes the research methods,ideal model building,key results of activation strategies in Shanghai rural public space.It understands that there is still huge space for improvement in future studies about rural public space in modern cities.Further in-depth analysis and discussions are expected in this area.
