Electron cooling method is used for the High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility(HIAF),in order to reduce the beam emittance and momentum spread of heavy ion beams,and improve the accuracy and luminosity of nuclear physics and atomic physics experiments.The magnetic field homogeneity of the cooling section is the key parameter related to the cooling effect.This thesis introduces the method of measuring and obtaining the high uniformity magnetic field in the cooling section of the electron cooler.In this thesis,a method for measuring the magnetic axis of the coil of the cooling section in the electron cooling device is proposed,and the design and manufacture of the coil magnetic axis measurement device is introduced.According to the calculation using the parameters of the magnetic measuring device and the collimating device,and result of the magnetic field measurement of the coil,the magnetic axis measurement accuracy of the magnetic axis angle measurement device is ±0.10 mrad,which is satisfied to the accuracy requirements of the magnetic axis angle measurement of the cooling segment coil.Using the magnetic measuring device,the influence of different winding methods of the electron cooling coil on the angle between the coil magnetic field axis and the geometric symmetrical axis was studied.According to the magnetic field axis measurement results of the coils in different winding methods,it is determined that the method of winding the coils of the cooling section of the electronic cooling device is the three-cake series winding method,and the improvement of the coil design and processing scheme is determined.This thesis introduces the structure of the new scheme coil,and the angle between the coil magnetic field axis and the geometric symmetrical axis is measured to be1.28±0.10 mrad,which meets the design requirements.Once the coil design and processing scheme has been determined,the coils of such schemes will be mass produced and the coils will be installed in series on the base of the cooling segment of the electron cooling device.The design of the measuring device for the parallelism of the magnetic field in the cooling segment is necessary for the installation of coils and the adjusting of the magnetic field.This thesis introduces the preliminary design scheme of the laser magnetic needle system used to measure parallelism,and calculates the parameters of the key components of the magnetic measuring device.It provides a reference basis for the construction of the magnetic field parallelism measurement platform of the cooling segment in the future. |
