Single Loop Closed Differential Stepless variable speed drive system(referred to as"Single Loop CDSV)has many advantages,such as a compact structure,large transmission ratio,high transmission efficiency,can achieve better performance of high-power Stepless transmission,and has a variety of transmission effects,that makes it very popular in industrial applications.In the general mechanical transmission,the system’s closed continuously variable unit is mostly friction-type stepless transmission which depend on friction drive to provide traction to transfer power and will inevitably produce sliding,and the size of the sliding will also change along with the change of external load.In this paper,therefore,the sliding characteristics of single loop CDSV transmission system is studied theoretically,in order to obtain the sliding rate’s reflected form and the influence of sliding rate on the related performance of the system,plays a positive role in the promotion and application of stepless speed regulating mechanism.Firstly,the transmission type,kinematics,force energy relation and speed regulation type of the CDSV transmission system are analyzed and studied in this paper,thus obtain the system transmission ratio expression,each component’s rotational speed,torque and power relational expression,the power flow form of the system,the calculation method of transmission efficiency,and the judgement conditions of speed control type.Secondly,this paper focus on the sliding characteristics of single loop CDSV transmission system,including the calculation method of sliding rate of the single loop CDSV transmission system,the influence of enclosed stepless variable speed unit’s sliding rate on system sliding rate,and the influence of sliding ratio on transmission ratio,power flow form,speed regulation type and transmission efficiency.Finally,set up a PX type single loop CDSV transmission system on JLCJ-Ⅱ series innovation combination and structure analysis comprehensive test beach,measure rotational speed and torque of System’s input shaft output shaft and the output rotational speed of the enclosed stepless variable speed unit.By collecting and analyzing the test data,the closed infinitely variable transmission unit’s sliding rate εP and speed ratio RP,the system’s sliding rate ε and speed ratio R and the value of ε/εP are obtained.Then analyze and study the calculation results,to verify the correctness of the previous theoretical research on sliding characteristics.Through the study of the sliding characteristics of single loop CDSV transmission system,we can known that in different power flow patterns,the system has a different mapping of the sliding rate of the closed unit,and the existence of sliding rate has influence on the transmission ratio,power flow form,speed ratio and transmission efficiency of the system.Therefore,in the process of designing single loop CDSV transmission system,it is necessary to select the structural characteristic parameters of the system reasonably and to control the size of the sliding rate within the allowable range so as to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the system.
