This article mainly studies the visual design of cultural walls under the background of multi-ethnic cultures,traces the historical origin and development of urban cultural walls around the world,and investigates and analyzes outstanding cases of urban cultural walls,using literature research,case analysis,and field research.,Multi-disciplinary method,observation method,etc.are the main research methods to analyze and organize the data of the urban cultural wall of Xining City.This provides a good basis for combing the development status of the urban cultural wall of Beidajie and the in-depth study of Xining’s multi-ethnic culture.Knowledge reserve.This article combines the theories of urban cultural ecology,design semiotics,and environmental psychology to systematically comb the development status of Xining’s urban cultural wall,deeply study the spread of local ethnic minority cultures in Xining,and through the creative design of ethnic multiculturalism Show the regional characteristics of Xining and provide some suggestions for the visual design of Xining urban cultural wall.Take the cultural wall of Xining’s North Street and nearby streets as an example,rationally extract and use regional and ethnic visual symbol elements,integrate modern culture and ethnic culture into the visual design of the cultural wall,and enhance the multi-ethnic culture of Xining city.Competitiveness.Since I have lived in Xining for a long time and have a deep understanding of Xining’s urban culture and regional culture,I have a deep understanding of the current development of Xining’s local urban cultural wall,and realize that the visual design of the urban cultural wall is an urgent problem to be solved.Taking Beidajie as an example,I conducted field research on Beidajie and the surrounding streets,and collected photos and data of Xining Beidajie,Jiefang Road,Douxing Street,Daxing Street,Xinglong Lane,Yinma Street,etc.;analysis;The modeling,materials,craftsmanship and surrounding environmental conditions of cultural walls in various regions were found,and the phenomenon of single culture,single craftsmanship,and lack of sense of design form was found.Through literature search,it was found that there are still gaps in the research on Xining urban cultural walls.It is the lack of systematic research on the application of regional culture and multi-ethnic culture in the visual design of urban cultural walls.Therefore,this article studies the multi-ethnic culture on the cultural wall of North Street and the extension street,and redesigns its visual symbols.
