Depend on the national policy standard and the current light steel building discovery,proposes an assembly type cold-formed steel yurt building,the characteristics of the original yurt building have been retained,optimized the living space of the yurt structure.Many new structural forms of yurts have emerged,not mentioned of the concept of skinning,the old yurt structure of the felt and the rope itself has a certain skin effect.Therefore,we studied several issues of yurts and came up with the results of the study.In this paper,two groups of assembled cold-formed steel Mongolia stiffening frames are designed,Yurt rigid frame with skin structure and yurt rigid frame without skin structure.A comparative study of two groups of yurt rigid frames using a combination of field tests and finite element simulations,Firstly,two groups of yurt specimens were subjected to single-point horizontal low circumferential reciprocal loading to compare and analyze the damage manners and the mechanical indexes under the force.By analysis the result we found : specimen considering the skin has 150% higher load than the specimen without the skin,the ultimate load increased by 46% and the initial stiffness increased by58% compared with the specimen without the skin,indicating that the skin effect would significantly increase the load carrying capacity of the structure;the damage modes of the two groups of specimens could indicate that the structure has certain stiffness reserve and meets the structural design requirements of the building structure.Secondly,use ANSYS Workbench software to establish the finite element model of yurt with skin,and the analysis is extended with different arrangements of skin panels as parameters.The results show that among the five different arrangements of the skin plate,the skin effect is larger for adding only wall skin and only 2 and 5 groups of skin,while the skin effect is smallest for adding only roof skin,which indicates that the wall skin plays the main role under the horizontal low circumferential reciprocating load;when all skin plates are simplified to only "cross-shaped " diagonal tension strips,the simplified model produced the same results as the yurt of the skinned structure in the test,indicating that such simplification is reliable and can be applied to practical design.Through the test and finite element analysis of the cold-formed steel yurt rigid frame,the results of the force performance of the skin structure in the yurt structure and the reference suggestions for the design of the enclosure structure are obtained,which can bring benefits to the actual project.
