With the improvement of China’s economy and technology level and the rapid growth of urban population,the construction of high-rise residential buildings has gradually increased,and the labor costs have also increased rapidly.Furthermore,in the design of high-rise building structures,the requirements of resisting lateral force are often very high.Therefore,it is of vital to develop a reliable lateral resistant system suitable for the development trend of building industrialization.At present,the frame structure system,frame-bracing system and shear wall system are commonly used in high-rise buildings.As one sort of the shear wall system,the steel plate shear wall(SPSW)has been deeply studied by scholars since it was proposed in the 1970 s.In this thesis,a new kind of grid-shaped steel plate shear wall(GSPSW)was proposed based on the mechanical characteristic of SPSW and the simplified analysis model of SPSW.Theoretical analyses,experimental investigations and finite element analysis methods were used to study the GSPSW.The main works of the thesis are as follows:1)A new kind of grid-shaped steel plate shear wall was proposed.The structural forms and mechanical characteristics of different types of SPSWs were summarized based on a large number of related literature.For the problems of early buckling of the thin steel plate shear wall,bearing capacity decreased because of the mass welding of the stiffening steel plate shear wall and the inconvenient transportation and installation of the buckling restrained steel plate shear wall.The GSPSW was proposed to improve those problems.2)Four 1:2 scale SPSW specimens were designed and tested under monotonic and cyclic loading.The performance indexes such as bearing capacity,ductility performance,energy dissipation capacity and later stiffness were analyzed systematically.The feasibility of the GSPSW was verified.The test results also provided the data support for simulating GSPSW in Abaqus.3)Numerical analyses of GSPSW were done considering the nonlinearity of the material and the constraints of the specimens.A finite element analysis method for simulating the GSPSW was proposed.The validity of the finite element analysis method was verified by comparing the results of the test.Based on this,a series of parametric analyses were carried out.The effects of the section of the steel,vertical load and the stiffness of the column on the mechanical properties of GSPSW were studied.4)A simplified calculation model of GSPSW was proposed.The proportion of shear distribution of each part in the GSPSW was analyzed to clarify the stress characteristics of the member.In order to facilitate the application of GSPSW in practical engineering design,a simplified calculation model for analyzing the performance of GSPSW was proposed with reference to a variety of simplified analysis models about SPSWs.
