The Great Wall National Cultural Park(Ningxia Section)Signage And Interpretation System Planning Study

The Great Wall is an outstanding cultural heritage of China that manifests the traditional spirit of virtue and self-improvement,and is also a physical witness reflecting the ancient military defense of China.In the context of the new era,the country pays increasing attention to the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage,clearly stating that the core of the protection of the Great Wall lies in the protection and display of its value.And the National Cultural Park Construction Program of the Great Wall,Grand Canal and Long March,which was deliberated and adopted in 2019,calls for the deep protection and utilization of cultural relics and cultural resources,opening up new tasks and requirements for the protection and display of the Great Wall.As a rich area where Great Wall sites existed in the Warring States,Qin and Han dynasties,Sui,Song and Ming dynasties,Ningxia has a reputation as a "Great Wall Museum" and is one of the typical representatives of Great Wall sites.However,there are a series of problems such as inadequate protection and display of Great Wall sites in Ningxia and the lack of a unified display system linking the Great Wall as a whole.In order to solve the problem of incomplete and unsystematic display of the value of the Great Wall of Ningxia,this paper starts from the cultural interpretation and identification system and tries to build a suitable identification and interpretation system.Based on narrative theory and related planning theory,the paper analyzes the resource components and value elements of the Great Wall of Ningxia,identifies the core cultural values,and carries out systematic planning and design of the signage and interpretation system.Through the construction of the signage and interpretation system,a complete signage and display system of the Great Wall of Ningxia is established to enhance public awareness and understanding of the Great Wall of Ningxia,help the construction and implementation of the Great Wall National Cultural Park(Ningxia section),and also help drive the rapid development of tourism and social economy in Ningxia.The establishment of the signage and interpretation system not only responds to the specific national requirements for the Great Wall National Cultural Park,but also is an active exploration of the theoretical approach to the construction and display of this new national cultural park,which has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper can be divided into four main parts: the first part is based on the interpretation and study of relevant research and theories at home and abroad,clarifying the relevant concepts,adopting a combination of field research and theoretical analysis,and selecting the main perspectives of narratology and semiotics to analyze and study the signage and interpretation system;the second part is about the historical interpretation and current situation analysis of the resource composition of the Great Wall of Ningxia,excavating the development and evolution of the Great Wall of Ningxia and its historical pattern,and clarifying the main problems of the current conservation and display of the Great Wall of Ningxia;the third part focuses on the construction of the corresponding signage and interpretation system,from the demand point of view,puts forward the corresponding requirements for the display objectives,principles and strategies,and constructs interpretation themes and various types of signage display according to the refined value elements of the Great Wall of Ningxia;the fourth part combines the above contents,and provides an analysis of the signage and interpretation system of the Great Wall National Cultural Park(Ningxia Section).The fourth part combines the above contents to design the signage and interpretation system planning of the Great Wall National Cultural Park(Ningxia section),initially construct specific spatial patterns and display methods,carry out planning and design of key Great Wall sections,arrange tour routes,and make suggestions on related activity planning.
