Founded in 1946 in Hong Kong,China,CX Airlines is the first airline in Hong Kong to engage in civil aviation transport services and after more than 70 years of operation and development,they played a pivotal position in Hong Kong and the global aviation industry worldwide.However,since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in early 2020,countries all over the world have imposed strict immigration control measures,causing the international air passenger demand to drop sharply.The entire civil aviation market has also suffered an unprecedented impact,and CX Airlines faced the most difficult period since the establishment of the company.In order to sustain in the civil aviation industry,with the lapse of the outbreak gradually under control,and with the civil aviation industry gradually recovering,it is imperative that CX Airlines to choose the right business development strategy.In this thesis paper,CX Airlines is stated as the research object,implementing PEST analysis method to analyze the external macro-environment it faces,summarizing the opportunities and threats it faces in the post-epidemic period,and then combining CX Airlines route resources,core competitiveness and other internal environmental analysis.This paper also summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of CX Airlines,and comprehensively utilizes SWOT analysis method to develop a feasible development strategy and give implementation recommendations to the human resources,finance,and IT in the field.This will ensure specific safeguards to promote the implementation of CX Airlines development strategy and provide some useful reference for similar civil aviation enterprises to resume airline operations and choose strategic development.
