In seismic design of retaining wall,the magnitude and distribution of the earth pressure acting on the retaining wall are important factors.The initial pseudo-static method for calculating seismic earth pressure of retaining wall is conservative in design because it does not consider the time effect of earthquake.However,the traditional pseudo-dynamic method takes into account the time effect of earthquake and the phase difference of earthquake propagation,but it still does not satisfy the stress boundary.Therefore,on the basis of the improved pseudo-dynamic method based on the viscoelastic model,this paper analyzes the magnitude and distribution of seismic earth pressure and its influencing factors considering the wall inclination angle and the backfill inclination angle,and compares it with the previous method to discuss its feasibility.The work as follows:(1)Based on the visco-elastic wave equation,considering the wall inclination angle and the backfill inclination angle,deduce the formula of seismic active and passive earth pressure coefficient and its distribution,compared with traditional method of pseudo dynamic and analysis of earthquake frequency,damping ratio and seismic acceleration,internal friction angle and wall-soil friction angle and wall inclination angle and the backfill inclination angle.(2)The improved pseudo-dynamic method is used to deduce the anti-overturning stability coefficient of retaining wall,analyze the influence of different parameters and compare with the previous method.Then,combined with the dynamic method,the rotational yield acceleration and angular displacement of retaining wall are derived,the influence of parameters is analyzed,and combined with the stability coefficient,some suggestions are put forward for the seismic design of retaining wall.(3)Based on the improved pseudo dynamic method,the sliding stability coefficient of retaining wall is deduced,the influence of different parameters is analyzed and compared with the previous method.Then,the sliding yield acceleration and sliding displacement of retaining wall are deduced by combining the dynamic method,and the influence of parameters are analyzed.The application range of this method is discussed by comparing the previous empirical formula.
