| Due to the large population base of our country,the growth rate of the institutional care of the elderly can not keep up with the growth rate of the elderly population.In addition to living in institutions,there are also a large number of elderly people choose to live at home.The landscape environment in which they often develop an activity is the nearby city parks.Whether it is institutional living or domestic living,the behavior pattern and place preference of the elderly in the landscape environment have something in common.It has been observed that the existing old-age outdoor environment is not friendly to the elderly group,how to build an appropriate landscape environment for them has become the focus of this research.Based on the idea of evidence-based design,this research collect a large number of behavior data in the urban park,and excavates the group characteristics of the elderly combined with the theoretical investigations and cases study,including physiological,psychological and activity characteristics.To provide comfortable and safe landscape places for the elderly,this research extract the high frequency activities,and analyze the real activity demands and landscape place preferences of the elderly,then apply the analysis results to the design practice of Changzhou old-age community.Seven typical behaviors were found,which were sitting,chatting,walking,dancing,exercise,music activities and nursing activities,while the corresponding typical places of activity were sitting space,road,square,fitness space,garden building and interactive place between old and young,in which sitting space and fitness space often existed as ancillary spaces of other places.Driven by physical,psychological and social needs,the elderly pay attention to the environmental comfort,facility richness,spatial scale,layout,place interaction and so on,and will be affected by the activity atmosphere in the surrounding environment. |
