The bearing ring of the aero-engine spindle is one of the important parts of the bearing.With the increasingly harsh application conditions of the aero-engine,the quality problems of the bearing ring are becoming more and more prominent due to the adverse factors in the material and processing process.Relative to the raceway of the bearing ring,due to the heavy load during the bearing work,and keep contact,extrusion and friction,such as surface defects are direct effects on the bearing life,the crack,banded carbide are typical surface defects of ring,so how to effectively guarantee the defect control is the key to the bearing quality assurance.Compared with the common magnetic particle testing method,although it can detect defects on the whole surface,the defects cannot be quantitatively evaluated due to the large human factors,and it is difficult to judge the nature of the defects.Moreover,the eddy current method using profiling probes and manual inspection has a single application,resulting in poor detection reliability and repeatability.However,as a method of surface detection,the eddy current detection method has the characteristics of fast detection speed,less human influence factors,and comparison method to realize the evaluation of defect nature and magnitude.This topic focuses on the detection of surface defects in the raceway of aviation bearing rings,carries out analysis of influencing factors in eddy current testing,and analyzes the causes and characteristics of aviation bearing ring defects,and analyzes the applicability of eddy current testing technology in aviation bearing defect detection.The eddy current sample production method for machining EDM slots with physical ferrules was determined,and the testing sample design was carried out.In view of the problems of manual inspection stability and poor accuracy,the inspection system has been improved.By using the combination of an automated mechanical system and software,the automatic scanning of the bearing raceway is realized,and the C-scan result is formed and analyzed.The frequency,inspection speed,defect size,inspection surface,near-surface inspection,and physical defect inspection verification conditions that affect eddy current testing are analyzed and ruled to obtain the influence of each key factor,and the eddy current testing amplitude and value are realized for the depth of the defect.Phase angle evaluation results show that cracks and band-shaped carbide defects can be effectively found through the researched eddy current detection method,completed the verification of the eddy current detection method for aviation bearing defects,improved the detection efficiency,and determined the influencing factors and evaluation of the eddy current detection Methods,methods can be used in engineering practice.
