Research On Revitalization Of Industrial Heritage From The Perspective Of Taiwan Community Development

With the development of economy,the adjustment of industrial structure and the acceleration of urbanization,the old factories which once played an important role in history are facing decline,abandonment,relocation and even demolition.These industrial spaces are faced with renovation to accommodate new urban activities and serve as production spaces for service industries.This is the source of the problem of "old industrial building transformation" in the field of architecture.In order to revive the vitality of cities,western countries began to carry out large-scale renovation of old industrial areas,and the themes of "protection and reuse" and "activation" of industrial heritage gradually unfolded.Since Taiwan promoted "Overall Community Development" in 1994,the research and application of western theories in heritage protection started early and lasted a long time,forming a relatively mature system.This paper aims to summarize and absorb the experience and mode of excellent transformation and activation cases in Taiwan,so as to provide reference for the future industrial Heritage activation in mainland China,and prevent the loss of industrial civilization and urban history and culture Loss.At the same time,it is hoped that this study will help to explore new means and methods suitable for the protection and renewal of industrial heritage,and supplement and improve the theoretical system of industrial heritage activation.Based on this,from the perspective of Community Development,the author interprets some typical industrial heritage activation practices with pioneering exploration significance,explores the value connotation that really needs to be protected and activated,summarizes its general activation points,and puts forward corresponding activation strategies according to the activation point system,so as to provide a "public participation" for industrial heritage protection workers and policy makers Industrial heritage activation model.This paper is divided into five chapters.Firstly,it expounds the background,object,scope and content.On the basis of literature review,this paper analyzes the research at home and abroad,and gets the research trend and research focus of each stage.Then,through the pilot study,looking back at the development process of industrial heritage protection at home and abroad,the development trend of industrial heritage is obtained;the origin of Community Development concept,the practice in Taiwan and the development of the concept are discussed,and the applicability of social building concept applied to industrial heritage activation and the goal of activation from this perspective are obtained.Then extract the elements of Community Development to activate industrial heritage,and analyze the elements from four aspects: object,subject,foundation and process.Then,according to the factors,the paper carries out the empirical research on the process of "resource inventory-space reuse-sustainable development" in four cases of Kiatou sugar factory,Songshan Tobacco Factory,Xinpingxi coal mine and Yilan distillery,and sums up the differences and activation points between the cases through the comparative analysis of activation modes.Finally,according to the activation points,from "building local identity-activating site space-local construction-building to guide public participation",and in view of the current situation of industrial heritage protection in mainland China,the corresponding inspiration and suggestions are given.
