1/2 crystal can hermetically sealed magnetic latching relay has extensive applications in electricity,aerospace and other fields for its low power consumption,small size,high sensitivity,fast action and high stability.But there are many quality prolems in the actual use process which seriously affected the reliability of the system,such as non-action of the product when power on,unqualified voltage and frequent neutral position.This paper took a kind of aerospace electromagnetic relays as the research object and improved product reliability from the perspective of design and determined parameter standards from the manufacturing.Firstly,analyzed the main failure mechanism to determine the key output characteristics of the relay.Tested the key output characteristic parameters of batch products to evaluate the quality consistency.Analyzed the weak processes of relay design and production that affect the improvement of quality consistency to build a fault tree model and determine the way to improve product quality consistency.Secondly,analyzed the influence of various parameters on the suction force and optimized the design of the suction and reaction curve to avoid the intersection which leads to the neutral position.Optimized the structure of the electromagnetic system to solve the problem of voltage.Simulated and analyzed the vibration characteristics of the adjusted spring system to verify that the product’s vibration characteristics is acceptable after the adjustment.Then,manufactured the tentative product to verify the effect of de-neutralizatio optimization design.Thirdly,selected the main parameters that affect the output characteristics and designed the parameters according to the fault tree analysis result.Carried out the tolerance design after determining the key parameters and the optimal factor level to redistribute the tolerance to improve the consistency of relay quality from a design perspective.Established relevant constraints and objective functions and selected appropriate multi-objective optimization methods to improve the design efficiency.Lastly,analyzed the key manufacturing steps that affect the quality and consistency and developed relevant test equipments.Determined the range of magnetic materials performance by the standards of voltage consistency.Proposed an improvement plan to solve the problems in the production process to achieve the goal of the actual product quality is consistent with the simulation.
