| General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that “major engineering and technological breakthroughs in any field may inject new vitality into world development and trigger new industrial and social changes.”In the next 20 years,China’s industrialization will change from quantitative to qualitative,and higher engineering education will also New development is needed to meet the needs of the country.As the national science and technology reserve talents,engineering students need to master more diverse and complex knowledge.The study of engineering majors requires relatively high abilities of students,and the academic pressure of engineering students is relatively high.With the development of the concept of "student-oriented and individualized development of students" in the education field,self-efficacy,an important psychological factor that affects students’ academic achievements and future development,has attracted more and more attention.Therefore,the investigation of the impact of the academic self-efficacy of engineering students on academic achievement will help to provide guidance for the improvement of engineering students’ academic achievement and good future development,and it can also provide a new direction for the establishment of a high-quality engineering talent training model.This study reviews domestic and international studies on academic self-efficacy,student participation,and academic achievement.It draws on the IEO model and combines actual scientific research scenarios to systematically discuss the core variables and the connotations and dimensions of important concepts in the research.Efficacy(independent variable)is divided into two dimensions: learning ability and behavioral self-efficacy;student participation(mediation variable)is divided into three dimensions:cognition,action and emotional participation;academic achievement(dependent variable)is divided into cognitive,Practical and emotional academic achievement three dimensions.A conceptual model of the relationship between "academic self-efficacy(input)→ student participation(environment)→ academic achievement(output)" is constructed to analyze the mechanism of academic self-efficacy and participation of engineering students on academic achievement.On the basis of the above work,this article has compiled the "Investigation Questionnaire on Academic Self-efficacy,Student Participation and Academic Achievement of Engineering Students".The questionnaire was revised through pre-survey,and the survey of 14 engineering college students of Harbin Institute of Technology has been effective.There are 528 questionnaires,and the data of the questionnaires are statistically analyzed using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 software to verify and explain the hypotheses proposed in this article.This study found that the academic self-efficacy of engineering students has a positive impact on student participation and academic achievement;the participation of engineering students has a positive impact on academic achievement;the participation of engineering students is in the academic self-efficacy on academic achievement Intermediary effect in the impact of the conclusions.The empirical mathematical analysis of the relationship between engineering students’ participation,academic self-efficacy,and academic achievement in this paper lays a foundation for enriching the research of university management from the perspective of student perception.The research conclusions are helpful to provide guidance for the improvement of engineering students’ academic achievement,the formulation of school policy documents and the reform of higher engineering education training system. |
