In recent years, the total number of motor vehicles in the country has increased sharply, and various cities have experienced different degrees of congestion. As an effective method to relieve urban traffic pressure, coordinated control of green waves on arterial roads has been studied in depth by more and more scholars. Therefore, this article carried out academic research and designed a green wave coordinated control method based on MAXBAND.The main research work of the thesis is as follows:1.Aiming at the different distances between the intersections of the urban road network sections, the traditional traffic light signal timing is limited by the real-time statistics and prediction of traffic flow, and the real-time green wave coordinated control cannot be realized.A vehicle speed guidance based on the degree of dispersion of vehicles is proposed.method.Research and design a multi-intersection green wave coordinated control model based on MAXBAND algorithm. For the main road green wave coordinated control, the segmented green wave coordination method is adopted to give priority to the traffic flow in the main direction of the road section,at the expense of the traffic flow in the secondary direction. While ensuring safe passage through various intersections, delay time can be reduced to a certain extent, and the green wave bandwidth can be maximized.2.According to the continuity characteristics of traffic flow, the change of traffic conditions at a certain intersection in an area will directly affect the traffic characteristics of adjacent or similar intersections, leading to the problem of reduced green wave coordination performance.Based on this, research and design a regional coordinated control method based on the dynamic division of sub-regions.By analyzing the traffic characteristics of intersections, taking into account tidal phenomena, and short-term forecasting of traffic flow,a tidal traffic flow distribution model is designed to improve the cooperative control of each intersection of the regional road network.3.Finally,in order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm model, the research designs a segment model based on the case arterial road and a regional road network intersection correlation model. The phase difference, green signal ratio, and signal cycle are calculated through the MAXBAND algorithm, and the traffic lights at each intersection are implemented The dynamic timing scheme and the use of the VISSIM simulation platform to compare and analyze the effects of the traditional MAXBAND model and the improved MAXBAND model. The results show that the improved MAXBAND model has all indicators such as vehicle delay, number of vehicles passing, average speed, number of stops, etc. There are different degrees of improvement, verifying the effectiveness and correctness of the model.
