With the rapid development of social economy, the transportation system is carrying more and more diversified travel demands, and the number of motor vehicles is increasing year by year. The most direct manifestation is traffic congestion. The key to traffic congestion management is to predict the traffic state before the traffic system is congested, and use the predictive results to correspond to corresponding treatment measures. The catastrophe theory in the current research has been applied to the discrimination of traffic status, but the mechanism of urban traffic evolution has not been analyzed in detail. For this reason, the methods of judging traffic conditions and congestion mechanisms at home and abroad are studied.Starting from the catastrophe theory principle proposed by Thom, the five characteristics of catastrophe mechanism are explained, and seven catastrophe theories are briefly explained.A brief overview of the road classification principles and road classifications in different countries is given, and the urban roads are determined to be the research object of this thesis and the urban road traffic state evaluation indicators are selected.Taking Tangshan city traffic road network data as the basic data,a detailed analysis of the spatial evolution mechanism of the traffic state based on the cusp catastrophe model, and on this basis, considering the time factor,a spatiotemporal deduction model of urban traffic state based on the dovetail catastrophe is proposed. And use this model to analyze the spatiotemporal evolution mechanism of urban traffic status. The example data shows that the model has high effectiveness and accuracy.Based on the interdisciplinary development of traffic dynamics theory and catastrophe theory, the evolution mechanism of urban road traffic state under implementation information is studied, and the diversity of the transportation system under state evolution is explored to provide theoretical support for improving traffic operation efficiency. An urban traffic state evolution model based on cusp mutations and dovetail mutations is proposed, which truly reproduces the regular characteristics of road traffic state mutations, clarifies the corresponding critical values of traffic parameters when mutations occur, and provides reference suggestions for the construction of urban traffic information systems.Figure 23;Table 9;Reference 55...
