| With the development of society and the acceleration of the urban process,there are many old urban land areas without any requirements met by urban planning,which can not keep pace with the development speed With the used time,land degradation and old facilities,it is necessary to carry out functional transformation to promote the reuse of resources so that they will not be wasted.Urumqi South Park was reconstructed from the only zoo in Urumqi,which has been transformed into an urban park since animals moved to Xinjiang Tianshan Wildlife Park in 2007.However,the pre-renovation was mainly aimed at improving the infrastructure and basic environment,and the resources left behind by the zoo were not effectively protected and fully reused.Therefore,it is expected that these remaining problems can be well solved and the function transformation can be realized through this study so that a series of meaningful research references can be provided for the transformation and reconstruction of old sites in other cities in the future.This study has made several analysis as follows.(1)Understand the development process and current conditions,find out the transformation direction and predict the possibility of implementation through the investigation of basic resources.(2)Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the internal through SWOT analysis,find out the external development opportunities and threats to evaluate its development potential.(3)Use SD method to study the space environment,understand people’s cognitive level and psychological feeling of space,and analyze and discuss the details.(4)Carry out qualitative positioning analysis according to various analysis and research results,and summarize the nature and development positioning of the park according to theoretical guidance and case experience.From this,it can be concluded that there are mainly the following problems existing in the South Park.First of all,there has been no specific development plan in the park yet,and the old resources have not been fully protected and utilized.Moreover,the development has been still at a standstill after the transformation from zoo to park.In addition to the basic maintenance management and production operation,the park is only a common public green space but has no features or themes.Second of all,the cultural resources of the park have not been fully protected and played their roles.People’s feelings and memories of the South Park have gradually faded with its development.This phenomenon has no positive influence not only on the cultural spirit transmission of the park itself but also on the promotion of urban civilization.Finally,due to inadequate management system and insufficient labor force,many facilities in the park cannot be repaired in time,and plants lack maintenance management,which have done much harm to the overall environmental quality.Based on these problems,strategies were proposed in this paper,which mainly included the following aspects:establishing a cultural landscape system according to the site characteristics of South Park,strengthening cultural construction,and increasing the intensity and importance of cultural transmission,protecting and utilizing old resources,optimizing new functions,preventing waste of resources and improving ecological benefits,optimizing plant habitats,improving soil and solving pollution problems,strengthening health management,improving service performance,updating functional facilities and creating a new landscape environment,providing reconstruction practice in the South Park to verify the feasibility of the proposed strategy,and finally getting the conclusion and summary method.When such problems were studied,we should comprehensively consider the protection of historical relics and the renewal of new functional environment in order to organically combine scientific methods and artistic techniques to serve human beings and finally realize the ultimate goal of resource protection and ecological sustainable development. |
