In this thesis,a set of control systems and control methods are designed to realize the position sensor control and the sensor less control of 8/6 switched reluctance motor, and then experiments are conduct to verify feasibility and correctness of the proposed control schemes.First of all,the internal structure and the connection method of the switched reluctance motor(SRM)are detailedly introduced. The working principle of the stator winding in the two cases of independent phases and four-phase series-parallel are analyzed. The mathematical equations and the electromechanical energy conversion models of SRM are developed, and the basic electromagnetic relationships and characteristics of SRM are studied.Secondly, the electromagnetic field of the SRM is analyzed by the finite element analysis method in the Ansoft simulation software, and the two-dimensional static magnetic field, eddy current field and two-dimensional transient magnetic field of the SRM are modeled to research the characteristics of the magnetic field and the cause of energy loss. The performance parameters of the SRM are obtained using the Ansoft RMxprt module. Then, the corresponding simulation models using the PWM control strategy and the phase current gradient method were built in the MATLAB simulation software and simulate the position sensor detecting method and sensorless position detecting method. Finally,an experimental platform is designed including power supply circuits, drive circuits, power converter circuits, voltage and current detection circuits, and rotor position detection circuits.Furthermore, the programming is realized in the CCS software to experimentally verify the proposed control strategy, the advantages and disadvantages of the two control strategies are compared.
