| Pumping station projects,which play an important role in ensuring social development,are widely used in industrial and agricultural production,flood control and drainage,and urban and rural construction.Due to high sediment content of rivers in my country,the sediment-laden water flow is easy to settle and deposit in the pumping station inlet structure,which will adversely affect the safe and efficient operation,even daily management of the pumping station.Therefore,it is very meaningful to study the effect of engineering measures on silt reduction in the inlet tank of pumping station.Taking Pingshantang pumping station as an example,based on the theory of solidliquid two-phase flow,the Fluent software method is applied to simulate the sediment deposition in the inlet tank.The flow field distribution in the inlet tank culvert of the pumping station is analyzed to find out the law and cause of sand deposition,then the effect of rectification measures on silt reduction is simulated.Main contents of this paper include:(1)The standard k-ε model and mixture model are used to simulate the flow patterns in the inlet tank of the original design scheme for Pingshantang pumping station under the condition of high and low sediment concentrations,which is to determine the location of sediment deposition,and find out the law of sediment deposition,then analyze the cause of sediment deposition.The research results show that:the siltation of the inner inlet box culvert is more serious than that of the outer inlet box culvert,and the siltation in the inner side of the box culvert is more seriously than that of the outer side.(2)According to the location,law and cause of sediment deposition,the rectification and deposition reduction scheme is designed under the condition of keeping the relevant parameter settings consistent.The flow patterns in the inlet box culvert is simulated and analyzed with each deposition reduction scheme,and the deposition reduction effect is compared.The research results show that:the size and the location of the water pressure plates has greater impact on silt reduction.The research results would effectively reduce the sediment deposition in the box culvert of Pingshantang pumping station,therefore could improve the operating efficiency of the pumping station,it also have certain reference value in the design for similar pumping station in sandy area. |
