China is a country with many high sediment laden rivers,and the control of sediment laden flow has always been the focus and difficulty.In recent years,the national hydrological system has conscientiously implemented the spirit of the important instructions of the Party Central Committee,optimized sediment monitoring stations,strengthened sediment dynamic monitoring,improved the modernization level of sediment measurement,and scientifically analyzed sediment changes.These initiatives provide important support for water resources management,flood control and disaster reduction,water conservancy project construction and operation scheduling,and ecological civilization construction.Taking Pingshantang pumping station as an example,based on the two-phase flow theory,FLUENT software is used to simulate the sediment deposition of Pingshantang pumping station,then the flow field distribution in the inlet box culvert of the pumping station is analyzed,and various rectification measures are tried to find the best scheme to solve the problem of sediment deposition of Pingshantang pumping station.The main contents of this paper include:(1)The research status of domestic and foreign scholars on the sediment problem and numerical simulation of pumping station are investigated and collected.(2)The realizable k-ε model is used to simulate the flow in the inlet box culvert and the inlet pool of the pumping station under the condition of clear water.(3)The sediment concentration of Pingshantang pumping station is simulated by adding discrete phase particles of DPM to analyze the evolution process and development trend of sediment deposition.The simulation results show that the sedimentation problem of No.l and No.3 box culvert holes are serious,and that of No.2 and No.4 box culvert holes are light.The sediment first deposited at the threshold,and with the increase of time,the deposition at the threshold became more and more serious.At the beginning the increase of sediment concentration in the intake tank is small,and it will increase rapidly when the sediment deposition at the maintenance threshold reaches a threshold(4)Numerical simulation of three improvement measures is carried out to analyze the improvement effect of each scheme under the condition of low sediment concentration and high sediment concentration.The results show that the combination of raising the bottom plate of convex bank of box culvert by 7.5° and adding 45° water pressure plate has the best effect of preventing and reducing sedimentation.After taking such improvement measures,the sediment concentration of the section in front of the pump is less than one tenth of the original condition,and with the increase of calculation time,the effect of reducing and preventing sedimentation is still significant.The research results will solve the problem of serious sediment deposition and wear of the actual case pump station,improve the operation efficiency of the pump station,reduce the energy consumption of the pump station,and make the operation of the pump station more stable and efficient.At the same time,this paper has a certain reference value for the future study of pumping station optimization of sediment laden river in plain area.
