Exploration Of Service Design Of Public Baby Caring Room In Shopping Mall

With the rapid development of social economy and the opening of the national two-child policy,the number of mothers and infants has increased.While boosting the economic benefits of related industries,the embarrassment and problems encountered by the mothers and infants in public spaces are also placed on the public.before.According to the survey,the society has an urgent demand for maternity and infant rooms,and there are general user expectations for the construction of maternity and infant rooms.Service design is an interdisciplinary way of thinking and design process,which integrates various intangible and tangible touch points to bring users a perfect user experience.Therefore,the combination of service design and public maternity rooms can not only improve the user experience of the maternal and infant groups,and bring convenience to the maternal and infant groups,but also conform to the general trend of current social development.Case analysis found that in the current construction of shopping malls’ maternity rooms,the design elements of its service design mainly include "facilities and props design","regional function division design" and"environmental atmosphere design".In the design principles,we pay attention to the"humanity principle","safety principle" and "practicality principle".In the design process,follow "clearly serve core users","combine online and offline service processes" and "embed emotions and brand elements".All these provide valuable reference for the development of public maternity rooms.This article takes the public maternal and infant rooms of Wuhan shopping malls as the object of practical research,based on the thinking of service design.In the early stage,case analysis was used as the entry point to sort out and discuss the design elements,design principles and procedures of the shopping mall’s maternity room service design.Then we conducted field inspections and investigations in 21 large and medium-sized shopping malls in Wuhan to understand the current status of the industry in public maternity rooms in shopping malls.Secondly,we further understood and analyzed user needs and visions through user interviews and questionnaire surveys.In the end,the author combined with a series of research activities in the early stage,taking Wuhan New World Department Store(Wuchang District)as the practice object to develop the concept and design,draw user experience maps,customer journey maps,and conduct user contact point analysis to find out The pain points of users start from five aspects:theme design,guide sign design,brand image design,area division design,and service supplies design,aiming to improve the unpleasant user experience of mothers and infants when using public maternity rooms and solve the current situation The common problems existing in public maternity rooms,optimization of the configuration facilities of maternity rooms,have a very important role in promoting the construction of urban civilization and demonstrating the city’s humanistic care.
