With the aging of China’s population,more and more elderly people need institutions to provide for the aged,and care facilities for the aged are increasingly playing an important role in their construction and development.In order to be suitable for the elderly to live in,care facilities for the aged require high indoor thermal comfort and high building energy consumption.In the central plains,where the climate is cold in winter and hot in summer,the seasonal climate difference increases the difficulty of controlling the physical environment of care facilities for the aged.Through literature review,research on care facilities for the aged in the central plains focuses on building form and spatial form,and there are few studies on the performance of buildings.Therefore,this paper takes the performance optimization of care facilities for the aged in central plains as the starting point,studies the care facilities for the aged based on energy consumption and thermal comfort index,and tries to propose optimization transformation strategies.First of all,the influencing factors of care facilities for the aged renovation in central plains are analyzed and the energy consumption characteristics of care facilities for the aged are summarized.In this paper,the characteristics of building climate in central plains are studied,and the indexes of population,economy,geography and climate of the main cities in central plains are compared horizontally,and the typical core cities are selected,and the climate parameters of the region are analyzed,and the corresponding evaluation indexes are put forward.To study the energy consumption status of care facilities for the aged,sort out the composition of building energy consumption,and summarize the energy consumption characteristics of care facilities for the aged in central plains.Secondly,a field study was conducted on the existing care facilities for the aged in Kaifeng,a typical city in the central plains.The distribution status of care facilities for the aged in urban areas was statistically analyzed,and the site,envelope and internal space environment were investigated to summarize the status quo of each space and the degree of energy demand.Four representative care facilities for the aged were highlighted.By measuring indoor and outdoor lighting,temperature and humidity,wind speed and other physical data,the regularity of physical environment changes,thermal performance of existing buildings and comfort of living environment of care facilities for the aged in the central plains were summarized,laying a foundation for the subsequent renovation design from the people-oriented perspective.Finally,based on the field research data,this paper puts forward the reconstruction strategy of care facilities for the aged in central plains.According to the functional characteristics and energy consumption of the care facilities for the aged,the principles of systematic,dynamic,passive energy-saving design priority and people-oriented renovation design are summarized.Four renovation strategies are proposed for care facilities for the aged in central plains:(1)Propose the layout of building group and the design idea of site greening through analyzing the geographical climate and architectural microclimate.(2)The thermal performance and economic applicability of the materials are compared and analyzed,and the material selection and construction technology of the outer protective structure(outer wall,outer window,roof and sunshade device)are proposed for the central plains area.(3)Based on the measurement data of physical environment,the design idea of energy saving transformation of interior functional space(stairwell,bathroom and hallway)was put forward.Establish a mathematical model to calculate the plane form selection;Based on the level of care for the elderly,this paper puts forward the transformation strategy for the interior space design of the care facilities for the aged from the two aspects of spatial transformation and environmental psychology guidance,and analyzes the feasibility of transformation by using simulation software.(4)Aiming at the actual demand,a device linkage control system based on cloud platform is constructed to provide theoretical and technical support for the sustainable development of care facilities for the aged.
