| With the development of automobile industry,the number of electrical equipment used in automobiles continues to increase,and the power generation of automobile alternators also rises accordingly.Automotive power generation system is related to the availability of appropriate and stable power supply for various electrical equipment.The development of modern automotive electronics industry and continuous improvement of automotive electrical systems have increasingly higher requirements for the functionality and stability of automotive generator regulators.Hybrid integrated circuit voltage regulators have become the development trend of modern automotive generator regulators.In this paper,a hybrid integrated circuit regulator is designed based on the actual test and data collection of a variety of automotive generator voltage regulators using professional equipment in the automotive electronic parts factory.Firstly,the discrete components are used to build a regulator test circuit,and the LDTQ-3 vehicle voltage regulator performance test bench is used to complete the dynamic test of the generator in each state.Then,when the various functions meet the design indicators,the core module is integrated based on the 14.3.0 μm SB 40 V bipolar process of Huayue Microelectronics,and the bandgap reference voltage source is used to replace the stabilizer in the discrete component regulator.The voltage diode is used as the reference source to improve the voltage regulation accuracy of the voltage regulator;the pre-excitation pulse and the speed detection circuit are used to reduce the energy loss of the battery when the car generator’s power generation is low;the ignition switch and charging indicator detection circuit are used to complete the state detection,Make it enter the standby protection state when the ignition switch or indicator is damaged;increase the over-temperature protection and over-current protection circuit to enhance the stability of the voltage regulator in the environment of high temperature and changing working conditions.Leave some space for peripheral circuit design to facilitate fine-tuning to the requirements of different types of generators in the actual production process.All functions of the regulator designed in this paper have reached the design index.The withstand voltage of the voltage regulator is 40 V,the temperature coefficient of the bandgap reference voltage source is 55 ppm/℃,and the regulating voltage is 14.5±0.1 V at-40-140 ℃.The duty cycle of the pre-excitation pulse voltage is adjustable,and the pre-excitation current is adjustable.140 m V,can reduce 40 % of the battery power loss when the generator is not generating;when the temperature of the regulator is higher than 175 ℃ or the excitation current is higher than 10 A,the regulator will enter the protection state.Complete the integrated design and simulation verification of regulator circuit and layout in Cadence environment. |
