The traffic volume of expressways in my country is increasing year by year,and the demand continues to rise.Many expressways have been expanded into eight-lane expressways.The traffic operation characteristics of the eight-lane expressway are more complex,and the traditional four-and six-lane section-level traffic operation status research can no longer fully adapt to the eight-lane expressway.The basic section of the eight-lane expressway is the main part,and the acquisition of its traffic operation status information is of great significance to control the overall traffic operation status of the expressway.The thesis studies the traffic characteristics of eight-lane expressways.According to the vehicle speed distribution of different vehicle types,the vehicle types are redivided,and on this basis,the expressway vehicle type,traffic volume,average speed,headway distance and time occupancy rate are statistically analyzed.A method to determine the capacity of the basic sections of a eight-lane expressway is proposed.Established a VISSIM simulation model to simulate the basic sections of the eight-lane expressway.According to the traffic volume of each lane,the Latin orthogonal experiment was used to design experiments to correct the underlying model parameters,and to simulate and determine the capacity of each lane under different lane function division conditions..Establish a eight-lane expressway basic section of the traffic operation status discriminant model.According to the current traffic operation status classification standards and index selection principles,the number and indicators of the traffic operation status are determined,the entropy weight method is used to improve the index weight of the fuzzy C clustering algorithm,and the cross-validation method is proposed to evaluate the clustering results.Threshold criteria are used to discriminate traffic operation status.The traffic operation status identification technology of the basic sections of the eight-lane expressway is applied to the case analysis.Taking a basic section of Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway as an example,cluster analysis of the collected traffic flow data is carried out,and the validity of the clustering is proved by the crossvalidation method.Based on the analysis of the data clustering results,the threshold criteria for different traffic operating states of each lane are determined.
