With the rise of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems(ADAS)and intelligent transportation industry, millimeter wave radar,as one of the indispensable sensors, will be deployed in large numbers on real roads. However, with the wide application of millimeter wave radar, the problem of interference between radar sensors is gradually exposed. On the one hand, this interference causes the basic performance of radar to degrade, and the detection distance is shortened, ghost goal and lost goal occur in the process of use, which cannot effectively sense the surrounding environment and produce unpredictable safety hazards. On the other hand, most international countries have divided the 76-81 GHz band for vehicle radar use, while the current band range in China is still 76-77 GHz,while the research on interference between millimeter wave radars is still in its infancy, and the standard system on interference testing is not perfect. Therefore, the research of interference between different frequency bands of millimeter wave radar and the problem of qualitative and quantitative analysis of interference need to be solved. In this thesis, based on the TI IWR1642 Boost hardware device equipped with DCA1000 EVM acquisition board,a 76-79 GHz millimeter-wave radar interference test environment is built, the system design for qualitative and quantitative analysis of interference is completed, and the effectiveness of the analysis system is verified.Firstly, the principle and influence of millimeter wave radar interference are studied for the problem of millimeter wave radar radio interference and frequency compatibility, and the information of signal characteristic quantity under different interference cases is extracted through the analysis and processing of the measured data.Secondly, based on the comparative study of different interference detection and evaluation methods, the interference degree classification method based on the IF signal is proposed, which is convenient for extracting data and can classify the interference degree, which is beneficial for radars to make active avoidance decisions for dealing with interference problems. An analysis system that can perform Chirp interference detection, interference type determination and interference intensity classification on the data is integrated using CFAR detection method,Hilbert yellow detection method and IF signal detection method, which is convenient to carry out qualitative and quantitative assessment of interference.Thirdly, this thesis builds a millimeter wave radar interference test environment under typical scenarios, collects a large amount of real and valid data, and evaluates the interference factors in different frequency bands, different timing and scan periods, different interference intensities and different test scenarios. The correctness of the interference detection and evaluation method and the effectiveness of the interference analysis system are verified. After testing, the system designed in this thesis can provide a comprehensive and accurate analysis of radar interference. The research results provide a theoretical basis and data support for the delineation of national radio frequency domain, and at the same time can provide test methods for millimeter-wave radar interference capability assessment, accelerate the formation of radar interference test standards and promote the research of anti-interference algorithms for millimeter-wave radar.
